because they can't scratch or rub it themselves.

They feel good for two reasons. First is the physical happiness they get when their tummies are rubbed, that is the reason they lay on their back and ask for the rub. Second is that it gives them a feeling of reassurance that they have the AFFECTION and ATTENTION of their master. That means a lot to them.

Hahahaha, confident they do! My chi likes to get his abdomen rubbed and he's not shy approximately asking the two. he will roll over on his lower back and seem at you and in case you forget approximately approximately him he will arise and supply you a nudge till you rub his abdomen!

Because it feels so good. As their owner or [best friend] it displays an emotion that they understand as love. Most dogs will only let people that they love have such an honor. They are great best friends arn't they.
