she would actually do any real harm to me. the only way to calm her down is by saying " there's a good girl" and being really soft with her, however this doesnt always work. In the house she is a little angel and butter wouldnt melt. Also we have to other bitches, 1 other is the top dog and the other is so soft she wont stick up for herself when the doberman bites her. We have to keep them seperate apart from when supervised....any ideas how to stop all this would be much appreciated....thankyou x

What exactly are swimmer puppies? Can the whole litter be swimmers? What are some ways to treat them? Yes, I'm aware about taking them to vet, but it will be hours before that will be possible and I'm kinda going crazy now...so if you could give me a few answers and little piece of mind tonight I'll really, really, REALLY appreciate it.

Hi there, before me and my husband had our daughter our precious pup pretty much had free rein of our large section. Which means she also pretty much poohed where she wanted to and we would go out there and pick it up every day or so. Now that our daughter has come along and we’ve made the section kiddie friendly with a play house and the sorts we have been trying to train our dog (who is 5 years old, so not too old to learn I hope) to do her business around the side if the house. For two months I would go out there with her and show her where to do it and she would. But If I didn’t go with her she would slip back to her old habit. We have tried that pheromone spray which worked really well except if it rained she would go right back to the spot, and it said that you only had to do it for three days and the dog would learn! Huh!! Try 4 weeks and counting! She knows that she’ll get in trouble when she does it because if she sees me watching her and she does one she runs for the hills with tail between legs!! Is my dog just a doggy moron or should I keep at it? I would love to know if you have any helpful tips.

He had a thyroid condition when we adopted him at 4 yrs of age. we were not told about this. The Vet told us. We knew he was overweight but didn't know why. He is now 9 plus yrs old. I know he's in pain, I can see it in his eyes. Every time I discuss the issue of putting him ou of his misery, Sundance manages to gallop up to me and shake his head no. Seriously. I am not kidding here. I am going to give him his last supper. Any suggestions on food and how I can handle my future loss will be appreciated. Diana

I have 3 dogs and, although I check for fleas almost daily and give them all both garlic capsules and brewers yeast tabs everyday, I cant get rid of the fleas. I use preparations for the carpets and furniture, steam clean, spray, hoover every day and still they come. Apart from getting rid of the dogs and moving house...what can I do?
