What is the easiest, best selling dog to breed?

2006-10-15 12:31:13 · 10 answers · asked by A A 1 in Pets Dogs

Seriously. What is a good breed of dog, that has minimal problems with breeding, is popular and is relatively easy to live with/train (minimal behavioral/physical problems)?

All are very expensive and non profit to do it right..

If you don't do it right, you are merely raising heartaches, wrapped in puppy clothing..

no dog should be breed for profit, there are enough dogs, out there needing homes, and dogs should only be breed to better the breed and not your wallet!! If you think there is an easy breed, you are wrong each person has their breed they like, but no dog is easy they are work, time, money, patients, they are life long commitment! If you want a dog for a commpanion go to the pound save a life, If you want to breed dogs, go to the pound and see the faces of dogs that where breed and not good enough for a show ring, or not the new owner expected, or part of large puppy mill adn bred for profit, because 3/4 of the dogs in most pounds/shelters are pure bred!!!!

Breeding dogs is a good way to make a small fortune - that is to literally make a LARGE fortune turn into a SMALL fortune in weeks.

You will LOSE money on every single litter of any breed and, for your dogs to be creditable and responsibly bred, you will get to spend $500 -1000 per dog show - like 2 times a month.

Make sure you know all of the responsibilities of dog breeding. You don't want them to all end up having to be put to sleep.

I like springer spaniels, but they're kind of hyper. Very friendly dogs though. Everyone has a different opinion. Depends on how big of dogs you want to breed, you know?

If you're doing it mostly for the money, you're doing it for the wrong reason. Sounds to me like you're wanting to run a low maintenance, money making operation. Let me know how that works out for you.

My advice..... Find a different hobby.
