There was 2 dogs in the road driving home. My dad doesnt want to help them but I bet my mom would. Should we go get them? They werent scared of the truck and didnt have a color.

What should I us to make my dog practice on when to hurt someone. Like the materials they use with cops and their dogs. I want my dog to practice on something to use just incase a conclusion with someone we never seen or trying to hurt me, that way my dog will attack. The dog is a rottweiler. And she is very good, and respectful, and friendly, but too friendly. I just want to know what to use for practice to train her to be for assertive?

Many people say that a dog will protect it's master just by pure instinct. Well, if this is true, why is it that my dog (husky/chow/pit mix) just stood there doing nothing when my friend was getting her @$$ beat? We were walking my 2 dogs, minding our own business. She was walking my husky mix and I was walking a black lab I had recently adopted from my friend's family.... Neither one of the dogs was even slightly interested in protecting anyone. What had happened was a biotch from my friend's school came and messed with us. She pulled my friend to the ground by her hair and hit her in the face repeatedly.... My friend had let go of my husky mix and he just stood there and looked around. The lab was pulling a bit on the lead, but only from all the excitement. She wasn't about to attack anyone... I mean, it /was/ my friend, and not me being attacked, but still... And le tme just say that this dog knows I'm the alpha and I've brought him up very well. So, what happened? .....

My little dog likes to lick my big dogs ears and my mom says that a dog can die, if the little dog has bacteria on his tongue and licks the big dogs ears by pushing bacteria into the brain. Has anyone ever heard this to be true?

My dog has a heart murmmer and I want to get him nuetered. I want to know if anyone has had a pet with a heart murmmer and still went under Anestiesa (got their animal knocked out and got spay or nuetered.)

I am scared to put him under Anestiesa because I don't want him to die while he is under Anestiesa, because he has a heart murmmer. So he is one and a half years old and I haven't got him nuetered. He is a mini dachshund.

Can some serious people let me know if they still put their animal under Anestiesa if their pet had a heart murmmer and came out ok. Please Help.!!!

I asked my husband if I could get a teacup yorkie dog as i have wanted one for years. We live in the city. He surprised me with a big strong female pitbull named LuLu whom he adopted from a local shelter after she was abandoned when her owner went to prison. I do love this dog and want her to feel happy here. I am having a hard time handling her. I am 5 feet and 105 pounds and I don't walk her, she walks me. She pulls me all through the streets and I hurt my wrists just trying to hold the leash when she is pulling. Yesterday she ran through the living room so fast she knocked me over and I went flying on the hardwood floors and my back is killing me. Husband is hardly home and I work from home now. I can't keep her off my bed and if he is not home she sleeps on top of me. She steals food, chewed up my pillows and put a hole in the window screen when she saw me outside petting my neighbors little dog. She went nuts and almost came through the screen. Any suggestions?

I have a 4 month old shih tzu female puppy.

I planned on beeding her with my male.

The vet said she has 2 hernias.

Thay are on her stomache.

When we first got her we thought they were her bladder.

She cant have puppies with them

{the vet said it is possible but painful. I will never put my dog threw extra pain like that}

He also said that they could go away.

Any remedies?

is it unfair to buy a husky because dey were ment for pulling sleds and der work dogs... many people say dat we have dem coz dey look good ... no way i love my huskie in dat way just as i love him how he looks and i would say da same about a lab or any dog and deyve got an excellant temprement and der definatley a family dog do u think its unfair to buy 1???

This morning my puppy did his #2 in the house, but when I went to pick it up it looked like it had coconut shavings on it. I got the paper towel and grabbed it then the littlel coconut looking things were moving, I'm figuring this is some kind of worm or parasite, but i can't find information about which one or what to do about it. I didn't look too closely at whether they were embeded or not but they looked like they were picked up on the way out and were pretty raised off of the surface. Please give me any information you can that might help.

Every time my dog seen someone she never seen before she runs up to them like she knew them for a long time. And i want to make her not mean and vicious but more alert, serious, and aware. In other words she is too friendly to people. She will be alert with dogs strictly. She loves kids and people. But too much. But with dogs she is strict and demanding. How can I make her for vicious but not dangerous vicious? Just like when i give the word for her to get off being mean when its okay to be friendly?
