no its not unfair as long as they get plenty of exercise and are taken care of, and I wouldn't say they were "meant" to pull sleds. An animals purpose isn't just to work for people. By the way, it's really hard to understand you

If you live in an apartment or don't have a fenced in back yard with very HIGH fences -- than YES it is unfair. Thier natural instinct is to run and you can't take that out of their brain. Sure, anyone can buy a husky and leave her chained up the backyard for life, but if you can't let them live to their potential, why have one? If you live in a suburb you should look into getting a modified scooter so the can pull you down the sidewalk -- it's a blast and they will love you even more for it. Huskies need to feel lke they have a job to make them feel worth while. There are dozens and dozens of websites on this subject from people who KNOW because huskies are their lives. Don't take half the people here seriously.......

I think as long as you exercise it regularly then it is fine. My aunt has two. They belong to a club and go every sunday to a meeting. The huskies are tied to a sled on wheels and then all the owners get in the back of a truck and the truck races off and the huskies follow. She also takes them to the beach at least 3 times a week and ties tyres on a rope and ties it to their harnesses and they run. This exercises them.
This was advice given to her from the Husky club in South Africa. You cannot own a Husky without being regisered and giving regular updates.

huskies were not ment to pull sleds they have just been bread to do so it's not unfair to get own but have take in factors like must groom a husky regularly if not the hair can get matted witch stop heat from leaving their and they die from over heating also the best place to keep a husky i out side or on floor that is tiles because they been breed to live very cold conditions

No its not unfair to buy a husky if you give them plenty of exercise. They are wonderful dogs. But their good looks and ability to work are just extras. They can still be great family dogs. I do suggest you get a dog from the pound though.

It's not unfair to buy a husky who's not going to pull a sled. But these dogs do need lots and lots of exercise, so just make sure he gets it and he'll be happy.

Like Labs, these large dogs need a place to run and play.
Huskies are very smart dogs and get very bored.
That will equate that to destruction.
These are pack dogs by nature, so it best with a pair of dogs.
A good owner is better than anything!
We need to be trained to handle these animals.
Dogs are not humans and must be handled differently.
Read "Dog Whisperer" by Cesar ? its a great read and wonderful show on National Geographic station.

Not at all - most dogs were bred for working at something. As long as your dog is exercised and fed well, and feels wanted and part of the family, then nothing else matters.

UGH no offense but your writing is so hard to read with all those non-words in there!!!
Anyway
I think it is OK to have a husky as long as you give it a "job" and plenty of exercise.
