I feed my kennel raw chicken all of the time.
1. Dogs don't have the same digestive systems that human beings do. They are much more tolerant of bacteria. Dogs eat disgusting things all of the time without getting sick. Eating fresh, raw chicken shouldn't harm them a bit.
2. Most people who feed raw chicken are feeding stuff they buy in the store -- i.e. human-grade chicken that has been USDA inspected and gone through quality control inside the plant. This doesn't always ensure that the chicken is completely safe, but in this day and age it's pretty likely.
My dogs get raw wings, thighs, and meat on a weekly basis, especially in the winter when they are working in harness. I have not seen an issue with feeding raw chicken in 10+ years of feeding raw foods. As long as the chicken is raw, the bones are like cartilage, easily ground up and digested by the dog.

Everybody does their own thing but this I W IILL TELL YOU inexpensive dog food ie pedigree though not the worst for every 2 cups of food they will poop 4 times because the more junk fillers etc thats what poop is waste so the better quality the less poop Now--- all dog foods claim there the best BS !
They dont care they just want theat money !!!so its buyer beware Ive switched to primarily people food ie chicken Absolutely no bones remember though dogs used to eat all that theyve been domesticated, SO NO BONES .its a crying shame they charge so much for dogs food but they know people spend billions on their dogs thats why they take advantage its a shmae 50 to 60 dollars for a 30 lb bag of descent dog food and its gone fast especially if you have a larger breed and or more than 1 dog !!!
I NOTIFIED PURINA ABOUT HOW MANY PEOPLE GIVE UP THEIR DOGS BECAUSE OF THE DOG POOPING SO MUCH DO YOU THINK THEY CARED NO!!
BOTTOM LINE QUALITY FOOD WILL KEEP YOUR DOGG HEALTHY AND LIVING LONGER TRUST ME ON THAT ! AND REMEMEBR VEGGIES AND SOME FRUITS ARE GREAT FOR DOGS WITH THE CHICKEN .
OWNING A DOG IS SOOO EXPENSIVE .

Commercial dog food ie kibble, dry dog food what ever you want to call it did not hit the North American market until the 60's. What exactly do you think dogs ate before that???? Leave your friend and her dog alone. Plus Venus it is the cooking of bones that changes their composition and makes them brittle and splinter so you are correct COOKED chicken is NOT a good idea. Raw bones are excellent for your pet. Raw is the best food for your dog. Do a little research and make up your own mind.

some people feed small prey frozen to encourage chewing.. some dogs tend to want to gulp down large peices, which causes a chocking hazard. As long as your dogs are chewing and not gulping, then its fine to feed it thawed. If you think about it.. most dogs in the wild dont typically eat frozen prey.. its ussually freshly killed. Larger prey may last a few days. In some climates tho, some wild canids DO bury their "leftovers" in the snow to hide it to save for later.. the bones would thaw as the dog eats and digests it and would return to a normal consistency, while cooked bones remain hard. As far as raw vs cooked. Raw chicken would make US sick, but we are not carnivores, we were designed to eat a vegetation-based diet. Our digestive tracts cannot handle the bacteria load that comes with raw meat. Dogs are carnivores, the acids and enzymes, and even natural bacteria, found in their digestive tract can handle the germs that come with raw meat.

The kennel where I take my dog feeds only raw chicken to the dogs they breed, these dogs never get anything else. It is actually very good for the skin and hair to feed a raw meat diet. As someone else posted, dogs are innately carnivorous.

Raw chicken with bone is Great for a dog as long as she is feeding manageable sized pieces so he can chew it easily. I fed a raw diet completely to one rescue dog that had severe allergies to just about everything else it seemed. He thrived on it!

I'm doing basic obedience right now. My trainer hasn't once handled my dog. He has shown me how to handle my dog by using his own dog but that's about it. The reasoning is that I need to learn how to do these basic corrections and what not myself. Learn more https://tinyurl.im/zfjS3
I have never considered sending my dog away for training. I guess I haven't found that much of a problem with him to even think about it.
Again, it may also have to do with the level of training you are looking for etc. No idea lol. I'm not a trainer. I think a first time dog owner needs to learn simple commands and how to handle their dog themselves as well.
