and everytime i try to see what its from, she runs away thinking im playing. how can i get her to sit still since she has for my dad and brother? i noticed it while trying to catch her around 10 min ago. she wont even put weight on her foot.

I had him done 5 days ago and I have seen no change in his behavior, he still stalkes my neighbors and he attacked the repairman today. He is a small mix-breed who acts like a Jack Russel. When will the he be less aggresive? When will his hormones go away?

So a few houses from where I live a lady owns this little dog. A few time since she has moved I hae found the dog wondering around in various conditions. I have even been to the point where I had to cut her hair (she is a long haired dog) because there was so much fecies in it. Tonight my mom and neighbor found her tied up in the backyard, Her legs were tied so tight together they are all swollen and her collar was so tight she has marks in her neck. I already know this is animal abuse, but my question is I have her at my house we cut the rope off of her and tomarrow I plan to take her to a vet or P.A.W.S. If I keep her in my house is there anyway I can be charged with anything criminal??? I can't find laws about this anywhere!! I don't really care if I can I am taking the dog to a vet either way, i was just wondering. Any answers would be appreciated. Thank you and sorry that was so long.

She is off palmerian bread. I have tried to switch the food but doesn't work. She likes potetoes, paneer, eggs but gets bored very quickly. I have tried some combinations of foods but after one or two days, she stops eating. We used to give her pedigree once in a day as advised by the doctor. But sometimes she does not eat whole day except pedigree. She is very slim as compared to other dogs. Please advise what should we do about her feed.

My Yorkie is 11 weeks old. She is a very, very picky eater. I am worried about her. My mom's Yorkie used to eat the cats food every chance she could. Loved it! The vet told my mom it wouldn't hurt her but would put weight on her. Have any of you heard of this? Or do you have suggestions? She likes dry food best.

I have an 11 month old cocker spaniel, housetrained and a good dog in general, but... he pees on the couch! He knows it is bad, because I can see him acting guilty and hiding after he does it! He is being punished for that, with the "rub nose on pee" technique, he even got smacked, but he doesnt stop. The doors are wide open all the time for him to go outside and relieve himself-and he does do his poops out, so whats with that? Yesterday, he even did it with me on the couch watching tv, right after I pat him!!! Ballsy little devil! I'm trying to find an explanation for his behavior, does anyone know why dogs do that???

I have a 10 foot privacy fence between my neighbors yard and mine. A new tenant has brought his pitbull, who is vicious thorugh the fence toward my beagles. Now he is starting to chew through the wood fence. I mentioned this to the neighbor who said she would fix it tomorrow. I am afraid this is just the beginning of the chewing. I plan to put up steel fencing on my side. Any other ideas? Should they meet on a lease and maybe this will stop the aggression? This dog seems like it wants to eat my dogs though. Do I have a right to ask them to get rid of it? My dogs are my babies and if anything ever happened to them, I would be devestated. Thank you.

We were at somebody's home and my 10 month old daughter was sitting on the couch with my husband. This person's daughter owns a pit mixed dog, and it was laying in it's bed a couple of feet away. My daughter wanted to get off the couch so she leaned forward, and looked at the ground but didn't actually get off the couch.

The dog growled and snapped at my daughter, but my husband quickly pulled her away. The owner of the dog actually yelled at my husband for not controlling our daughter!! My daughter did not provoke the dog at all, she didn't even go near it.

I think this dog is essentially dangerous around my child and do not want to visit anymore if the dog is there, they say I'm being paranoid.

I am worried because the dog owner has a child, but seems to favor the dog more, I worry that the baby might get bit as it gets older.

I'm not saying it's a dangerous dog because it's a Pit, I am concerned because it acted out like that.

My dog's name is Ally Bumble. She grooms my cat,Puma, plays with him, shares her food and also bounces with him, because Bumbles bounce you know. She's a bit retarded because I truly think now this answer may be backwards. I bet Bumble thinks she looks like my cat. AARRGGHH! I'm so confused. I should really be on bored.com with this question.

i got him from the humane sosiaty hes not injured or anything his owner just gave him away.he seams to be very tense and hes pacing alot.WHAT SHOULD I DO TO MAKE HIM FEEL AT HOME,WELCOME and calm down a little.i think he misses his old home i feel so bad for him...oh and hes a year old

i just got a new puppy and he was sleeping on thr floor and i went over to pick him up and there were little tiny white worms buy his ***, does anyone know what kind of worms these might be? i know i need to take him to thr doctor but first i need to pay my rent so he will half to wait another week. do you think he will be ok until then?

ok, so I have this mini dachshund hound named Oliver. When he was a puppy (and before he got clipped) he was extremly happy and loved to play ball and go for walks and only slept occasionally like a normal dog should do.
Now that he is fixed, he is fat and lazy. About 2 years ago he got into some sort of poison while out on a friends property. As a result of this he spent 7 days in intensive care at the vets. He almost died and it was sooo sad. Well ever since that he just lays around and acts depressed....except for when its time to eat or if he catches a glimpse of the family cat and goes tearing after him barking, lol. He probably sleeps 20 hours a day...which I KNOW is WAY TOO MUCH! I try all the time to get him to go for walks with me and after about 1 minute of walking he stops dead in his tracks and will not budge AT ALL! i know dachshunds can be stubborn, but what dog doesnt love to take walks? He is about 5 years old, so he isn't extremly old. whats wrong with my dog?
