It depends of what life style are you currently living in. If you live in an appartment... A Rottie would not be a dog for you...I would contact the local humane society or ASPCA and have them decide which breed of dogs is suitable for you... they will soon help you to pick out your best friend.

I also believe the shelter is the best place to find a great companion...any dog I every during the last has been a pound puppy and every one of were just great. If u r looking for a purebreed, some shelters end up with a few of those to. Why pay hundreds of dollars for a pup from a store when a great new friend is waiting for you at ur local shelter. Get a dog from a shelter. They have all kinds. You should find one that's perfect for you. I have a beagle/dachshund mix and a Lhasa Apso that both came from a shelter. They're both healthy and wonderful companions. You won't believe what some people "throw away"! I think Daisy, Buddy, Roxy, Spike, and Pixie are cute names.

it depend on what you want for your dog are you in the city? do you have apartment or a house? How much time you are going to spend at work or home? Labrador are a good round dog, if you only have apartment maybe a toy dog breed. I like name like - Jasmine, Charley, Brianna, Sebastian and Jessica.

I got a teacup poodle, and just adore her. Poodles are one of the smartest kind of dogs. She learned out to sit in 1 min. She learned how to roll over in about 2 min. It depends what color the dog is and if it is a boy or a girl, but mine is chocolate colored, so I named her Cocoa.
