I recently lost one younger dog and the older dog has howled, whined and begged to sleep with me, all things that she has never done before the other dog's death. The death was sudden and the older dog seems really sad. Am I crazy?

I had a golden retriever that had a stomachache at 5 am while we were sleeping.Rather than wake us up to be let out, he opened a second story window and had diahrrea on the roof.We were woken up by a phonecall from the neighbor telling us our dog was" taking a crap on the roof".By the time we got there, he had come back inside and was sleeping, but the evidence was clear.(**** on a shingle...)Talk about house broken!

I started giving my female dog flax seed oil as a dietary suppliment approximately 1-month ago within this time she has developed alittle urinary incontinence. Is this just a coincidence or could the fatty acids in the flax seed oil contribute to the leaking of urine? She is only 5 years old.

I have to leave my house @ 6:30 a.m to get to work and I don't return from work until 4:30 p.m(10 hrs)...We are getting a new pug puppy soon. Sometimes my hubby works different shifts like 11:00 - 8:00, so most days the puppy would just be alone from 10:30 - 4:30 (6hrs)..is this okay for a baby pug to be in crate so long? We really have no other options, there are no pet-sitting/pet-walking services here, and we don't really know anyone that could come over and walk the dog. We live far away from family. The second we get off work we come home though. We don't go out and do much, so the puppy would get lots of love in the afternoons and night and early morning...I am just so nervous that the puppy will feel neglected... :(

Go to www.lancasterpuppies.com and then click on the Jack Russell Terrier photo. The markings on his back are adorable...one even looks exactly like the outline of Mickey Mouse! He is adorable and I am open to any and all answers....Thank You all in advance for your help!

All I can think of (for obvious reasons) is Mickey and I have been partial to Baxter for a while BUT want to really LOVE the name I choose...the little guy is family after all!

I have heard that people spank their dogs as punishment, which I think is awful, but how on earth do you do that?

My dog started to behave strangely this morning. Something frightens him and I do not know what. Before he was full of energy, loved to play ball, and jumped on people. Now he stops and behaviors like he sees a ghost, and hide in one corner.

I tried to rule out what might be caused this change and below is what I came up with

Last night before his bedtime, I applied one tube of K9 Advantix on him and in the middle of night I caught him shaking his leg while asleep. (Never happen before)

He saw a ghost.

What is going on with him? No one abuses him.

I've never breeded dogs before we are going to wait till she is at least a little bit older. I was wan'ting to know how many times does she came in heat, and how long. Also when breeding a chow how old should we start breeding her and how often should we breed her.

My BLM got a deep cut on his paw 15 days ago. I took him to the vet and he got some stiches. The stiches came out on their own after a few days and the wound was still gaping. I took him back to the vet on day 7. He put a collogen type of dressing on it then wrapped it up. The wrap keeps coming off and I replace it. I've been using EMT gel (it's a collagen based material) and neosporin. The wound is not looking any better. I'm at my wits end and need help. It is still gaping.

I have a 3 month old shih-tsu, who is so cute, but i CAN"T potty train her.
I have tried limiting her water, and feed only at night, i have tried taking her out every 2 hours, then every hour, then every half hour.
I bought some of that stuff, that you spray in a spot, and it is supposed to tell them where to go.

Every time we take her out, we come in and she "goes" on my rug, or in a corner.
Someone please help me.... PLEASE.... I don't want to have to get rid of her.... but we are renting, and she is going to ruin the carpet. And she is driving me insaine.
OH I AM treating the accident spots with the special solution to remove the smell, and right now I am trying to "clicker train" its not working either.

I NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!
