My dog started to behave strangely this morning. Something frightens him and I do not know what. Before he was full of energy, loved to play ball, and jumped on people. Now he stops and behaviors like he sees a ghost, and hide in one corner.

I tried to rule out what might be caused this change and below is what I came up with

Last night before his bedtime, I applied one tube of K9 Advantix on him and in the middle of night I caught him shaking his leg while asleep. (Never happen before)

He saw a ghost.

What is going on with him? No one abuses him.

So you mean your dog is a good dancer? ("shake a leg")
Sorry.
Seriously, sometimes when a dog is sleeping (and having a nightmare) they will shake their legs.

This may sound really far fetched, but I'll ask anyway. Do you live in your own home or do you rent? Is it at all possible that you were out and someone (landlord or otherwise) got into your place, and the dog was hurt by that person? Have you ever come home and found him to be extremely clingy, when he was fine that morning?
Just a thought, but it is possible

Depending on how old your dog is, you may need to establish that you are dominant over him/her. When you establish dominance, the dog will feel safe around you no matter what. If dominance is already established, he/she may be hearing something far away or the "ghost" theory may have some legitimacy. Leg shaking is common among dogs and should be considered irrelevant.

you know, I'm not the kind to believe in ghosts, but ever since I saw this show "Haunted Hotels" on the travel channel, Ohmigod I'm so friggin scared now. I hate spooky stuff, I won't even go on the Haunted Mansion ride at Disney World. And on that show, it said animals can sense presences that humans can't.

dogs can hear really well. What else is your atmosphere at home like?
