that's the worst scent on earth! You defined it completely! we've 2 german shepherds and the oldest has been sprayed (right away - contained in the face) two times. a speedy (besides the undeniable fact that no longer everlasting or suited) treatment is a mixture of hydrogen peroxide, liquid dish cleansing soap and baking soda, being careful to stay away from the eyes. i do not even imagine it really concerns once you've equivalent elements of the substances. It really facilitates to kill the worst of the scent fairly rapidly. the suited stuff we've found is the certainly de-skunk stink shampoo found at any puppy save, Wal-Mart, objective, etc. We had to observe it 3 situations, besides the undeniable fact that it really does artwork! and that i promise, the scent does ultimately bypass away!!!!!

Dawn dishsoap will get rid of the oil from the spray-I've used amixture of vinegar and baking soda, several times to get rid of the smell. Remember, the spray is actually oily-use the dawn dish soap first. Good Luck- I know it's terrible.

Petsmart has a reasonably inexpensive deskunk shampoo to use. It works great and isn't harmful to the dog! good luck!!....fyi - i heard skunks don't like moth balls so if you put them in your yard or under your porch you are less likely to get them around your house!!!

Bathe him with baking soda and vinegar.
Much more effective and costs less than the tomato juice myth.

Tomato juice...
Work it into the coat, thoroughly...
Leave it on for at least 30 minutes....
Then...rinse, rinse, rinse, etc., etc.
You may need to do it two or more times.
(So sorry...I know of nothing more unpleasant.)
