There is no Official Miniature doberman, but there are breeds that look like they could be. First a MANCHESTER TERRIER is a medium sized dog that has marking almost identical to a doberman, but is NOT related. Second there are Miniature pinchers or min pin's as they are commonly referred to and they are NOT related to Doberman's either. These guys are small terrier types. Some may be marked like a doberman, but these poochies come in lots of colors. Google Pictures on both types and you can see them for yourself. Miniature pinshers are way more common (and cheaper) then the Manchester Terriers.

There is such thing as a Miniature Pinscher, which looks just like a small doberman pinscher. But actually, it isn't related to a real doberman at all. It originated from a German Pinscher, and it is actually an older breed than the doberman is. I have a doberman pinscher myself and she is so much fun. If you're looking into dogs, I would suggest a doberman (providing you have enough room for them to exercise). We didn't crop her ears, and she is absolutely adorable!

MinPins are not miniature Doberman Pinschers. This question often comes up.

The two breeds are LOOSELY related through their common ancestor, the German Pinscher. Miniature Pinschers bear no resemblance to Doberman Pinschers in temperament, they are *not* miniature Dobermans, and really only have a resemblance in coloring - head type, gait, and other conformational aspects are all completely different. As all ready suggested, check out the AKC web site for more details.

NO...NO NO ...Its a Miniature Pincher...no relation to the doberman..THIS IS FROM THE AKC SITE
The Miniature Pinscher, or Min Pin, is a small, short-coated, compact breed belonging to the Toy Group. Allowed colors for Min Pins include Red, Stag-Red, Black and Rust/Tan, and Chocolate and Rust/Tan. Despite their similar appearance, Miniature Pinschers are not bred-down miniature Doberman Pinschers. In fact, the Miniature Pinscher predates the Doberman by many years. Min Pins are alert, active, fearless, and naturally inquisitive. When moving, they are further distinguished by their unique "hackney-like" gait. A big dog in a small dog package, they have deservedly earned the title, "The King Of Toys".

No. Min Pins are NOT mini Dobermans. They act nothing like Dobermans and are a breed all their own. Getting one thinking it is a mini version of the Doberman is going to result in problems!!!!

You dopes go to AKC.org and see if the Min Pin is a mini Doberman. All of you awho say you have "dog knowledge" are pretty sad!!!!!!
