Wait until her second heat cycle to breed her. she should come in heat about every six months. It will be safe to breed her on her next heat cycle. Only breed her every other cycle. She needs to have time to recover beween litters of puppies. AKC has wonderful information on their website and another useful website that is packed with great information is http://www.debbiejensen.com/
good Luck and do your research before you breed your dogs!

You really need to get a clue. You have had NO health clearances on the dogs, the female is too young, and you know nothing about breeding. That all spells backyard breeder looking to make money off the dogs.
You need research and to spend some cash on the dogs to get READY to breed. I am sure you do not have show quality dogs to start with, so you are just going to be producing poor quality puppies. The only reason to breed is to improve the breed. What you are doing and what you know about breeding will NOT do that at all. You don't even know how often a dog comes into heat!!!!!! That is VERY basic dog knowledge!!!!

She will come in heat every 6 t0 8 months until she is around 10 years old, heat lasts for aprox 24 to 26 days from the very beginning to the end. NEVER breed a dog until she has had at least 2 heats, if you do, it is kind of like a 13 year old girl having a baby! She will not be physically or mentally mature enough and it can cause health problems, stunted growth, increase the possibilities of Cesarean and the mother is likely to lose most of her puppies from being to immature to know how to care for them!

Most breeds of dogs come into season approximately every 6 months. They can begin as early as 6 months, but may not come into season until well after their first birthday.
It is best if you do not breed your dog at her first heat cycle, for she is still developing, herself. Pregnancy, and more importantly, lactation, is hard on a dog and will strip required nutrients from her growing body for her puppies.
It is also best to wait to breed your ***** until you have assessed her genetic health. This would customarily include a review for Hip Dysplasia through the OFA (www.offa.org), an eye exam certified by CERF (http://www.vmdb.org/cerf.html) and any other breed specific problems which are frequently encountered in your breed (these may include cardiac function, thyroid issues etc).
In some working breeds, it is also highly suggested that breeding stock can still perform the work for which they were originally created (i.e. a herding breed can still herd).
You would also best serve the breed by making certain that your dogs meet the recognized breed standard, which includes, but is not limited to, their structure and their temperament.
The OFA hip exam can be performed as a preliminary test, but will not be official until the dog is 24 months or older. For that reason, and for the health of the dog, waiting until your dog is 2 years or older is customarily recommended.

If you breed before she is fully grown and developed you will stunt her growth, the puppies can also be jepordized, they will try to grab all the nutrients, often resulting in a very poor litter and unhealthy mother.
1st step, as already suggested, wait till she is fully grown and you have had all the breed required tests performed.
2nd step, if these dogs are registered, be sure to follow your clubs code of ethics.
3rd step, get yourself a good book on Chows and while you have the female and male separated securly for the next 30 days, read and read and read.
Breeding is serious business, no longer are byb's or hobby breeders tolerated. There are too many dogs given up because of poor education by breeders, their lack of screening suitable new owners and giving after sales assistance with training, a general knowledge of the breed itself and preparing the new owner for the puppy stage, as a consequence too many dogs are put to sleep.

Oh my....you shouldnt be breeding her til shes at least 2....that means about 4 heat cycles. Heat cycles in dogs last a total of 3 weeks....... week coming in....a week in....a week going out....they are most likely to get bred in the last week.......Have you health checked your dogs for potential breed issues yet? Are you planning on breeding for breed conformation?, or for other reasons? Most dogs are bred up until there bout 5 y or 6 years old, every other heat cycle.......I would encourage you to seek advice from your local Chow breed association. They could be very helpful in your quest.

Your dog will come into heat every 6 mons. If you can help it don't let her get pregant yet. It is better to wait till she is about a year and a half. It is just better on the dogs if you wait. I use to breed Red Nose Pit bulls. They are the oldest breed of pits and they are the cutest puppies.Any way good luck with your dog.

she needs to be older before you start to breed her
she is to young and it haveing puppies now could cause her serious complications even death
wait a year or so she will come into heat at least 2 times a year
whilr you are waiting you need to do a lot of research on breeding
I would suggest going to the akc website they will have a link where you can look up breeders in your area and kennel clubs you need to get in contact with other breeders and learn from them

dogs go into their first heat anytime around the six month old mark, they should not be breed before they are 2 years old though, no dog really should, no more then one litter a year tops and think about how quickly you will be able to get rid of the pups and dont over breed.that can be not healthy for your dog...good luck

Please, do no longer breed them. Get them spayed/neutered. Do you have the Pedigree Papers on them? this would be a lineage so which you will breed without breeding in unknown faults. in case you haven't any longer have been given the Pedigree Papers then those 2 canines you will desire to no longer be breed them. the accepted public of human beings in this internet site is strongly against back backyard breeders who have not have been given any concept as to what faults their canines have or predisposed for. To be a powerfuble breeder you will desire to artwork on breeding out faults & no longer breed once you haven't any longer have been given any concept what genetics the two canines have. AKC papers in hassle-free terms advise which you seem on a registry & has no longer something to do with blood strains, faults, predispositions for psychological & actual faults. AKC contributors can partisapate of their sanchioned activities if your canines can meet the breed standards. you may carry AKC papers on a dogs & it somewhat is disqualified from competion reason it does no longer meet breed standards. Indiscriminate breeding would desire to be prevented in any respect expenditures. did you be conscious of that a powerfuble breeder culls their doggies at beginning leaving in hassle-free terms the main suitable of the main suitable & a million out of five of those doggies would be solid sufficient for a coach ring. So solid canines are somewhat problematic to locate. somewhat, somewhat problematic to locate. Take your canines to a powerfuble breeder & get his/her opinion of your canines. they might, in line with possibility, be solid sufficient to reproduce yet whilst the breeder famous faults you will desire to no longer breed those canines. Get them spayed/neutered. money should not be a controversy whilst it is composed of breeding. verify out each and every of the boxers that are euthanized on the pounds. There are basically way too many undesirable canines now & you opt to offer greater? Please, think of approximately this and do the marvelous ingredient. if your canines are not what they must be you will usher in doggies that have greater faults than their parents reason each and every discern has it somewhat is very own faults which would be exceeded directly to the doggies.
