She threw up five times yesterday and now she threw up some blood. The only thing she ate all day yesterday was a couple of cookies & she seemed to drink a lot less water than usual.

I'm guessing this has something to do with me giving her some rib bones Friday night. Believe me, I know I'm an idiot. My wife has been telling me for the last 24 hours.

Based on these symptoms, does anybody have a suggestion of what I should do? Should I take her to the vet immediately?

My little weiner dog got a hold of about 8-10 chicken wing bones and ate them all. I'm really worried about her because I know chicken bones are bad for dogs because of the splintering. What should I do...Is there anything I can do to help her?

I've never seen a poodle, lab, or collie with a spiked collar, but I see lots of Pits with them. Pit Bull owners are quick to defend what nice dogs they are, but it makes me wonder what the rationale behind the spiked collar is. Is it the owner trying to increase the dangerous look of his/her pet, or does the pet get in a lot of fights and need neck protection? Either way, either the dog or the owner - or both - are psycho.

So, what's with the spiked collars?

What has worked for you. We've tried brewer's yeast pills with no luck. Bathing doesn't help either. Neither does having her "groomed"--all they do is wash her since she has short hair. Lucy is a beagle and we brush her daily. She eats a good quality food and is healthy otherwise. I literally cannot keep up with the dog hair around the house on the furniture. I vacuum obsessively and roll the couch with a sticky roller every day. I'd like to feel like if someone came over for an unexpected visit, I could let them sit on my couch without having to first roll the fur off!

My female Pom is 1yr old on the 26.I'm minding this male Pom that is aprox 3 mon younger than she is.The owner of him is very iresposible(shouldn't be allowed pets in my eyes)but she does.I have a strong feeling she has deserted him, with me.So i will raise him he is better off with me anyway. My female is very controlling. And i want it to stay that way but im afraid when he gets older it may be opposite.Do you think she will always be in control cause she was here 1st?

I personally think it's wrong! My own mother and I argue about this. [she keeps one of hers outside] I say , would you want your children to live outside? And I know people are going to say their dogs not children, But I have human childern and doggie childern and we all treat them like part of the family. And I would never let anyone in our family live OUTSIDE.

I've read a few questions here reguarding a breed called "Chow Chow". I've never heard of these. Does someone have a pic of one, so I know what they look like?
