What has worked for you. We've tried brewer's yeast pills with no luck. Bathing doesn't help either. Neither does having her "groomed"--all they do is wash her since she has short hair. Lucy is a beagle and we brush her daily. She eats a good quality food and is healthy otherwise. I literally cannot keep up with the dog hair around the house on the furniture. I vacuum obsessively and roll the couch with a sticky roller every day. I'd like to feel like if someone came over for an unexpected visit, I could let them sit on my couch without having to first roll the fur off!

I forgot to mention that this happens all year long. I'm surprised my poor pup isn't bald (is that what you call dogs without hair?) by now!

Heavy shedding dogs do better with a kibble that contains no corn, wheat, soy or beet pulp. These ingredients are the common culprits of many skin disorders...

A formula that has rice as the grain will likely make an improvement in about 2-3 weeks.

I recommend Canidae, Innova, Solid Gold, Wellness, or Wysong.
At least some of these brands are availble at most pet supply shops.

I have posted similar question and the common answer I get it to go and buy the Furminator. I bought it yesterday and tried it out. You can get a lot of fur off with this product. Some claimed that it cuts down on the shedding over time. Since its only been one day, I am not sure what the long term result is but it seems to be working. My dogs fur is really soft now.

I think finding a new dog food will help. Unfortunately I don't have one to reccomend, but I do know that the right food makes all the difference in the world. My dog has struggled with her weight for the past two years and I have tried sooo many foods for her, including brands reccomended by the vet. It never failed, she always gained even though the foods were supposedly formulated for her to lose the weight. I finally tried Eukanuba Large Breed Light Food and it was the one that worked for her. My point (although long) is try various foods until you find the one that works. Be sure that you allow enough time for your dog to adjust to the new food before deciding that it doesn't work.

Switch to a higher quality dog food and add a few drops of corn oil to it every day. If your house is dry, consider getting a humidifier as it will stop the hair from flying around as much. Also, buy a dog bed, I can't stand sharing a couch with a dog - and I have one.

My dog is just as bad--she sheds all year long. I've not found anything to stop it, but I have trained her to like a powerful hand-held vacuum. (It came free with a powerful upright vacuum that I had to get to control the mess of dog hair.) Vacuuming her is more effective than brushing, and she now quite likes it.
I hope someone out there can come up with a solution to the constant shedding. Luckily, my other dog sheds seasonally.

Make sure its name brand dog food like Purina or Science Diet

Try a shedding blade...OUTSIDE!! It gets rid of my dogs' loose fur and breeders use it.

Take her to the vet. She could be sick

either brush ur dog daily or cut/trim the hair on a regular basis.

maybe you will have to talk to someone who grooms animals.
