How can I keep my cat's litter box separate from the dogs? I know they will be getting into her box and throwing her litter around, what ways and things can I do to prevent this from happening?... Besides obviously putting it in a different room? I don't think I'll be able to put it in a different room, out of reach while I'm gone. How can I make them leave her litter box alone?
Any ideas?

I'm thinking about having a Keeshond as a pet but the only thing that i don't know is if it has fur or hair. I want a dog with hair so it doesn't shed.

My dogs one of those who are very gentle in nature. But when I'm away, he just seems bored. I've tried socks and shoes even plastic, but he just leaves it there like it does'nt exist.

Please give ideas...

I have just gotten a 2 and half month old lab pitbull mix puppy. He is a very good puppy , except when it comes to putting him outside in the day time by himself. I have a older pitbull mix who needs some time away from him to relax and be a old dog lol. He crys constantly when he is outside by himself. I have tried everything from, spanking him on the butt and saying No! be quite!, from spraying him with water that didnt work...... he loves the water, I even tried putting pennys in a can and making a loud noise and saying his name and be quite! We are moving in a couple of months to the city and I can't have a screaming dog. I don't want to give him away, he is really good when he is not outside by himself. But I can't trust him in the house by himself yet, he is way to young. So if you could please help me out , give me some tips or something I would be so greatful!!

Thanks so much!!

Does it have something to do with their extremely keen sense of smell?

My poor little min pin is getting bald spots the size of a dime all over the top of her back/neck area... can't figure out what it is, but I have an idea... I also have a boxer (both dogs are pups..10mths old) and they do rough house alot...can that be it? or is it possibly a skin problem? She is very healthy otherwise

when i first got her along with her brother she was 2 months old and i always keep them indoors but as they grew they spent most of their time in the backyard.evertime i would go outside i would never see her untill when i looked in the side of the house its when i found her hiding under some bikes.she was really quiet and she looked nervous while her brother was calmy laying down on the yard.one day i was outside with playing with them when i heard a lawnmower turn on then i just saw her running away back under the bikes.it got worse when her brother died, whenever she hear a lawnmower she would start crying and try to run away she wouldnt go under the bikes she would just try to jump the fence.well shes already a 1 and 4 motnhs old and she doesnt get to scared of lawnmowers anymore but once in a while she'll start crying when a lawnmowers turns on or try to run away

He's trained to go outside, nothing drastic has changed around the house, and he seems to be well physically. Any idea why he would suddenly start ignoring his training and soil the rug?

Me and my husband are breeding our Shih-Tzus. And I was wondering if it is a must (meaning you absoultuley have to) give your dogs a genetic defect test and blood test? Or is this just to ensure their breed quality for possible buyers that are more interested in the breed's heritable bloodline?

Why is chocolate bad for dogs? I used to give my two dogs chocolate until they were age 7 and 5 because I didn't know they were bad for dogs. They never threw up or anything like that. My dogs are poodle+yorkshire terrier mix(mom) and mom+pure poodle(daughter). They are now age 13 and 11 and very healty... never got sick before.

My dog has lost alot of hair on her lower back, and she has a bunch of little red spots right there.
She also has some small scabs on the base of her tail, and she had alot of fleas.
But we got a flea collar, and used frontline and i think its getting better, she has been shedding skin i think, so i think its getting better.
Is she?
We have another dog and she is perfectly fine.
