My dogs one of those who are very gentle in nature. But when I'm away, he just seems bored. I've tried socks and shoes even plastic, but he just leaves it there like it does'nt exist.
Please give ideas...

go to pet smart go buy him a kong and stuff it with treats, and that will last him for 6+ hours

You didn't say how old or how you know he's bored if you're away. Its not a good idea to give him old shoes because he will think all shoes are fair game. Jason's idea of a kong is good as well as any other stuffed toy or chewy. We make sure our dog can lie and look outside while we're away which he'll do by the hour. Also, has he been to the vet recently?

what makes you think he's bored? Is he being destructive when you leave? If so, he could have separation anxiety. You could look up canine separation anxiety on the web and see the symptoms and suggestions if that is the case.
What my dogs like are good old bones. Either go to your butcher or ask your grocery store meat dept if you can get some dog bones, most have them in back. You can freeze them, and just give him one in the morning, and it will last all day long.

i think you have a very extraordinary dog. mine would chew everything.
you can leave a toy where you can put treats on it, rawhide or a big bone, that would make him busy for hours.
maybe he just doesn't like to play alone and just sleep the whole time until you arrive. it's not a good idea to leave socks and shoes for them to play or else you would be out of shoes and socks in no time.

Throw the dog a bone as you leave.My dog really enjoys a good T bone and will sit and chew on it for hours.

You can see what he likes when your there which are his favorite toys? Make sure u leave what he likes the most. Also have a check up at the vet he may be sick.

u should take it 2 the park. or buy treats and train him so he learns. ask your vet for help!

maybe taking them on walks or taking them to dog parks.
