Are you sure his leg is not broken? You can ice the area for 5 min at a time for the next 24 hours and give him 1/2 of a baby aspirin per 5 lbs of body weight every 8 hours. It must be aspirin not Motrin or Advil because anything other than aspirin is toxic to dogs and will KILL him. If he is still having a problem tomorrow you will have to take him to be seen by a Vet because it may be broken. Hope this helps.

Ice it and see if that helps, if it doesn't, you will have to take him to the vet. It is not a good idea to give him baby aspirin, because aspirin, tylenol, and/or ibuprophen can kill dogs and cats. Also, the meds that vets use are based on the age and weight of the animal. Please don't make the dog suffer any more than it has to.
Good luck

Call the vet and ask for advise over the phone. If he broke something, then your going to have to take him in no matter what. And using human medicine on a dog is dangerous. You don't know what that will do to him, side effects or even if it will work on a dog. Call the vet.

your poor yorkie is injured and you are waiting for answrs from here. God you must be joking. the poor creature needs to be attended to , and you must have already spend about 20 minutes trying to fuguure out on Yahoo Answers. I am sure this is a prank question, if something like that happened to my pet then i would have called my mom, friend,or neighbour or even 911.

Did she cry really hard and long? I dropped my puppy a couple of times because she just likes to move and jump when she's on me. Climbing everywhere. She would let out a high cry for awhile, I would rub it, and she'd be fine. I wouldn't put ice on it, but i would rub it until she feels better and can walk again.

how bad is the injury? i wouldnt give him human medicine. try handling him gentely. if he seems seriosly hurt, you might have to take him to the vets, even if you cant afford it, the dog deserves to get better
