Dogs - June 2006

Samantha is 16 mos. old. She is a beautiful and good dog but goes through bouts of the above mentioned behaviors. She loved her tempurpedic bed pillow (sp?) for a few weeks and suddenly chewed it to bits.....She is active, well fed, and walked. any suggestions welcomed. I also visited many websites and see few answers....personal experience from Dalmatian owners is welcomed! Thanks ahead of time!

My pug gets VERY overheated when it's warm out and now that temperatures are reaching near the 100's, I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to keep my dog cool, without having to drench him in water 24/7.

ugh, i am soooo sick of cleaning up my almost year old pug, Apple, crap! so how long should it take for her to be potty trained? she's getting better, but she still has accidents. does it take longer for pugs to learn, or what?

I have the most cuttest 2 pekineses and my female is in her 2nd heat and i want my male who is not related to her in any way.to do the deed but he is not willing to even give her the time of day.I have 4 other dogs. A boxer-f, a puggle-f, great dane-m, and dashand-m plus the two pekineses. I have been keeping the male pekinese a way from the other dogs and the female for sometime now but yesterday, (the
day) the male was not taking to her i really want to have these babies with her, how can I get them to do it? please do not send rude answers or other rude comments, just an answer to my question. What i do with my dogs is my business, they re all very much loved and i have room for all of them and more. i would just like help on my male. sorry for being rude but there are a lot of rude people out there who have smart and mean things to say when they dont even know you or anything about you life.

Someone walks their dog by my house every night and lets the dog do its duty in my front yard. I live right next to an empty lot & the owner is too lazy to pick up the poo and apparently doesn't feel like walking a few more paces to the empty lot. I wish I could catch the owner in the act!

I have a female american pit bull terrier that has just recently in the past few months started snorting. She only does it when she is exited, example, when we are playing with her or when she is eating. She doesn't snore or seem to have any problem breathing. Is this just something that she has picked up on to be more vocal?

This dog will sometimes ignore me, other times it will get in my way on purpose and bare its teeth. Its the only dog out of six dogs around that I have a problem? Ignoring it does not work, neither does confronting it. Oh, and its not my house lol!

I have a 5 month old beagle mix puppy. He is the cutest thing and is always very good when I am watching him - no accidents, etc. When my boyfriend watches him (we live together) he always goes to the bathroom in the house when I am not there. Any ideas why this is happening?? The puppy only goes potty in the house for my boyfriend, otherwise he is really good. Any info would be great! Thanks!

fact; No. In cities where they have ban pits the atackes as not gone down. Why? The People who are responable for the dogs that cause the attacks do not care if they are breaking the law. They already are by trianing and fighting dogs. They do not care if they break another. Till we do something about these people there is always going to be atacks by dogs that have been so mistreated they just want to kill.

fact; If these people can't get pits they will turn to other breeds to get the ones they need to fight. Then these breeds will become monster and man killers.

We need to stop the humans that do these things to dogs and turn them into the killers we all fear.

I need a superb veternarian in Western US who can repair eye injury where 2 of the four muscles holding eye in have been severed. It has been 8 months and she can not closed eye lid and eye ball is in a very odd position.
