Usually if you have more than one dog in a household, it makes it easier for the dogs to understand what their names are if the two names sound quite different from each other. So for instance naming one Furry and the other Curry would result in very confused dogs never knowing who you're talking to. It's best usually to try to do no more than a two syllable name for a dog, and if the first dog's name is Furry, try to get the second name sounding very much NOT like that, so best not to end it in an "ee" sound.
