Thats a bit selfish to breed for experience. She could get sick and die from it. Plus where will the puppies go? Its pricy to breed and any good breeder will never breed his dog to someone that just wants experience so you may end up with puppies that will be sick and inherit problems. Also people are becoming more aware of what you are doing (backyard breeding) and this may become illegal.
Find a good vet.
Stop being selfish
If you want to see birth...get pregnant yourself or sign up with a program that allows you to raise puppies (seeing eye dogs and other programs do it)

There is not that much urgency to it. In the days here before she's really ready to breed I suggest you look at the full experience.
Breeding for the experience has got to be one of the worst reasons. But if you're set on doing it go all the way. Look at the experience of the cost of raising puppies, the chances that (especially with small breeds) you might need a Csection and talk to owners who have had it done. Continue your experience with looking into going to a shelter one day and sitting with the dogs while they are put to sleep. That could be what happens to yours and if you're willing and eager to breed for experience you must also bear the RESPONSIBILITY of raising those puppies properly and being willing to follow through until they die. Look at the tough part too - not just the "oh what a cute puppy" part. I have 3 young adults here because someone let their dog roam - mine was chained inside a 6' fence. Not good enough...male dug into her yard. Two siblings found homes...three haven't. I am responsible for them, as surely the owner of the male won't be (he's nearly gotten hit on the road many times). The fact is no one wants them...even when they were "cute puppies". Look long and hard at what "the experience" involves including the end of sitting with little mixed breed dogs while they are killed. There is no "put to sleep" nice way - they are paralized with drugs then giving something to stop their heart and breathing. The fact they can't move does not mean it's painless. Take a serious long look at that experience.

Dogs are over populated...don't breed her. What if my 15 year old sister just wanted to breed "for the experience"...that's no reason, leave breeding to the breeders. You should have done your home work, maybe you wouldn't be in such a predicament. You are irresponsible...Get her spayed!!! Have a great day :)
Even better, you want to breed a Yorkie with a Maltese...WTF is wrong with you?? Quick cash?? Hope your dog and breeding male (when u find one) are fully genetically tested for disease, skin disorders, and eye promblems...I could go on but your probably not going to listen anyways....

Make sure you test both dogs for Brucellosis before you breed them. Test also (both dogs) for PRA and have their patellas certified as Maltese and Yorke's are prone to these health concerns. Breeding the two together compounds the problem because both breeds are susceptible. And yes even if you close your eyes to the problem it's still there. 10 million dogs are killed each year because people like you "HAVE" to have the "experience". It's childish, irresponsible and you should hang your head in shame.

Not only are most reputable breeders unhappy about mixing breeds, very, very few will be receptive to a females owner approching them on such short notice. I know breeder's who have turned down top winning females owned by other breeders in the same dog club because it was such short notice.

Even though i agree that breeding is a bad idea for experience. If i were you i would check shelters and the newspapers that way you could find a mate that has already had the tests and things that are required.
