If you have a genuine reason for wanting to make you pet into a guard\attack dog then you would need to attain the help of someone like me. I do not train guard dogs unless it is needed and proven. Fighting dogs are worthless to everyone including the dog so I will refuse. Also you need someone who will be able to train YOU to handle a guard dog. The training need to be in a different language so others cannot call them off. So not only do you need to learn this so does the dog. Also what is the age of the dog, older dogs will learn but it can become very difficult to "call them off". This kind of training can take over a year and it is all hard work on your part. REPETITION! This is not something every dog can do but remember that a Rottie once trained for this will need constant supervision and care because they have a very one track mind. It is much harder to remove this behavior than it is to teach it and once taught it might be impossible to control in the long run. a VERY BIG LIABILITY. Extensive research and planning as well as patience and repetition are the key to a good attack dog but do not expect them to be able to turn it off they will no longer be a pet. Good luck

Rottweilers, as most dogs, have a natural instinct to protect their home and owners. You do not have to make your dog into an attack dog. If you own a business and want your dog to be a guard dog then you need to enroll your dog into a guard dog class which is very expensive. The most important thing you can do for any dog is to take the dog to obedience school so that you and the dog can communicate and understand each other and live in harmony. The last thing you need is owning a powerful dog that you can not control. So my suggestion would be to enroll in obedience school. As the person who answered you previously, you don't want an out of control dog that you can be sued over or that the dog will be put down because of aggression. It is never the dog, it is the owners, who are at fault when a bite or attack occurs. No matter how domesticated an animal is it is still a wild animal that can act out in a way we never thought they would. So please put a leash on your dog and on your desire for an attack/guard dog.

A dog should be trained on how to eat, walk with you, not to bark, potty training and sleep on its place etc. You can teach anything to your puppy, dogs get trained easily with some good instructions. If you want some good training tips visit https://tr.im/8mL4l

If properly trained, they should also understand whistle and gesture equivalents for all the relevant commands, e.g. short whistle or finger raised sit, long whistle or flat hand lay down, and so on.

It's important that they also get gestures and whistles as voice may not be sufficient over long distances and under certain circumstances.

There are many ways. First have complete obedience from your dog. Once it is established that you are the alpha male, train him or her. If you want it to be a killer, feed it gasoline and glass-laced hamburger. Dogs are quite resilient, it wont kill it(right away) but you may go to hell. If you just want it to be a fighter/protector, be aggressive with it and it will return in kind. Just be prepared for any of the consequences that may ensue. You or you family might get hurt.

One good way of stopping unwanted dog behaviours is attending a traning course. You'll learn the causes and some techniques to solve all your problems with your furry friend. A good online course you can follow is: http://www.goobypls.com/r/rd.asp?gid=572

Their method is gentle, simple and most importantly effective. I recommend it.
Have a nice day

You should definitely go to obedience school for this type of thing to do it properly. Do a google search for trainers in your area. Some do training for police dogs.

You don't unless you want a lawsuit. Just having a dog like that on your property will make people think twice about entering.

Learning how to train your dog will improve your life and hers, enhance the bond between you, and ensure her safety and it can be a lot of fun. Dogs are usually eager to learn, and the key to success is good communication. Your dog needs to understand how you’d like her to behave and why it’s in her best interest to comply with your wishes.
