We currently have a purebreed lab. Would the chow get along with it? The chow is a male (which we will get neutered) and is about four months old. The dog is a mix of chow, german shepard, collie and not sure of the rest.

I have a male purebread t-cup poodle and I wanted to know if he would spray or not. I'm not sure if male dogs spray or if it's just cats.

well i was walking my puppy i just got 2 days ago and she`s still too young to get her rabies shot. she started biting so i spanked her once but then the side of my pinky finger started to hurt abour 2 minutes later. when i looked at it, a tiny bit of my skin was peeled and there was a REALLY TINY bit of blood. it`s been about 5-10 minutes since this happened that i`m typing this now, and all thats left is the tiny bit of skin peeled and a red dot under it. did she give me rabies!?!?!

Check out the humane society website on pound seizure to see if your state does this. Write your reps to ban this practice. Be sure to tag and microchip your pet so they don't suffer this cruel fate. I could not believe this practice exists. Don't support universities or any organization that use pets for research. If you love animals please act; you can make a difference. Put yourself in a pet's place; even if it is not your pet.

If both the male and female are fixed, which is better to get? If I get a girl I can spoil her with pretty clothes and glittery pink items and paint her nails and put bows in her hair..If I get a male, I can give him black spikey collars, spike his hair, paint his nails black..make him look cool. Which is better? Which is easier to deal with? Which should I get???????

I own a cross bred Yorkshire Terrier, named Thimble. He is so lovable and boistrous and loved playing with other dogs. He is full of beans when I take him out over the fields for his walkies etc,. and runs around with other dogs. When I get home he is ok for a while then he starts to sulk as he gets lonely despite my being there with him. My vet has suggested that I should get him a soul mate, hence my reason for asking my question.

I forgot about the steak in my fridge (not the freezer) and when I opened the package, it smelled spoiled. The best by date was June 26th (today is 30th).

I washed it in water and now cooked it for an hour in the oven. So would it be OK to give them to my dogs? I mean don't dogs eat out of dumpsters all the time and never get sick? So I guess their stomachs can handle a 4 day past steak?

Hate to throw away the steak if they can enjoy it.

What do you call a person that goes into your home and takes care of your animals when you are on vacation or at work??

How much do they make? Where can I find information on that type of job?

Also where can I look for employees for that type of job?

I'm moving in September into an apartment and taking him with me, he is now surrounded my 3 cats and 2 other dogs...he had a previous owner that seemed to be not the nicest person, but I am very nice to him and so is my family..he chews up things randomly, not a lot but mainly when he is home alone...maybe he gets nervous? Also he shakes a lot, but I think it might just be a chihuahua thing..tell me what you think!

My 1 1/2 year old dog has never had fleas, and has been on Advantage (once a month, like clockwork) since he was ten weeks old. A few months ago he spent two weeks at my boyfriend's parents house, and (I'm assuming because they do not regularly treat thier four house dogs) developed a bad case of fleas. How can this happen, or is prescription flea medication just not that effective?

Our vet switched him to Frontline for the past two months, saying that the fleas may have become immune to the Advantage, but that has not worked. I will never take him of the flea meds, but I still need some other treatment. We also spend about a half each day, flea combing him, and have had our apartment treated by a pest control company. Please help. My dog is miserable.

I have an american bulldog/ pit. He is huge. That is why we named him Tank. My boyfriend and I split up so I gave the dog to my buddy. Tank bit his little girl. She was tryin to take of the dogs collar. He wants to put tank down. I told him not to that I would come and get the dog. I have a 4 year old. Should I be worried? Or do you think it was just the change of homes that made him do this?

"Ice" was pictured in the newspaper article with the humane society person. (I need to know that she is ok.)
Kathryn-Langdon Sparks is the name of the breeder.
She had a few Chows that needed attention and new homes, it happened a few years ago.

I was feeding my great danes diamond brand dog food for breakfast and then again for dinner mixed w/ pedigree canned dog food. One of my danes has been completely uninterested in the food. She'd let her food sit in the bowl until she was so hungry she'd finally eat it. Well then one day I ran out of food but the feed store was closed so I had to buy from the grocery store. I got them Gravy Train and they love it. Even my girl who always eats as a last resort licks up every last bite. I think I might stick w/ the Gravy Train - they seem to really get excited about it, but I thought the Diamond brand might have more nutritional value since it is sold at the feed store. What do you dog lovers out there think?
