I forgot about the steak in my fridge (not the freezer) and when I opened the package, it smelled spoiled. The best by date was June 26th (today is 30th).
I washed it in water and now cooked it for an hour in the oven. So would it be OK to give them to my dogs? I mean don't dogs eat out of dumpsters all the time and never get sick? So I guess their stomachs can handle a 4 day past steak?
Hate to throw away the steak if they can enjoy it.

NO! If you ate spoiled steak what would it do to you? Besides - dogs that eat out of the dumpster - what do they look like? Mongrels - they look that way because they are under nourished. Dogs have evolved away from eating raw meat and have become used to and require dog food that has all of the nutrients they need. Spend a few bucks and go buy that pup some decent dog food and throw your rotten meat into the garbage where it belongs.

First off the steak is spoiled, so it shouldn't be safe for anyone to eat. If you wouldn't eat it,you shouldn't feed it to the dog. Secondly, justbecause it's cooked doesn't mean it's safe. Do you eat spoiled meat just because it's cooked well?
Spoiled meat could really hurt your dogs and lead to gastritis (upset intestinal tract and vomiting).

If you won't eat it, how could you feed it to your dogs? Isn't a dog, a man's best friend??? You should treat your animal just as you would treat a child. Would you feed the steak to your child??? Think about it a little bit more.

I think sometimes you should make your dog a nice special meal, but most of the food he or she eats should be boring dog food. Or you could just do what i do, I give my dog scraps from the table all the time and she's 13 and perfectly healthy.

Question for you to ask yourself.... would you eat anything spoiled or rotten??? Probably not, so then why feed it to your pet. It is spoiled it could and probably would make them sick. Stop being a cheap a## and throw it away. If it is that big of deal, don't let your food spoil next time.

I don't know for sure but I wouldn't trust it. Its not worth your dog getting sick, your going to spend more on vet bills then you did on the steak.

No way! Dogs shouldn't have human food to begin with it makes them sick, addicted, and fat. So spoiled food is even worse and they will get very sick.

NO I think you should not do that because I did that to my dog once and he got really sick and the vet bill was around $150.

If you're stupid enough to give your dog ANY kind of spoiled meat then you don't deserve to have the animals.
