I have a 5 month old pug and up until about a week ago he was house broken. Now he pees every where in my house and I can't get him to stop. He was doing so good about going outside. What should I do? Also, does this get better once he is fixed?

I don't understand the taking the bowl away from 9:00 pm from my puppy. I know I don't want her to pee everywhere but what if she gets dehydrated? After 9:00, she is still very active and running everywhere. I usually put her in her crate at 11, so i take her bowl away then. But she doesn't pee at 11! She pees at 10:15. And then she runs around the house, and gets all panty, so i give her water. Then at 11, i put her in her crate. I let her out at 7:00. Is that okay? I'm scared she'll pee in the crate. :( very very scared. any suggestions?

We are getting our Weimaraner pups next week and are a bit apprehensive about how they will react to the plethora of fireworks. Our pups will be 8 weeks old and this is a key time in their life called the 'fear impact subperiod' when things can traumatize them and affect their behavior for the rest of their lives.

See: http://www.weimclubamerica.org/yourweim/development2.html

For those that have had pups during this timeframe, how have you handled this?

The city council here just placed HUGE restrictions on pit bulls AFTER the public expressed extremely one-sided opposition. When we petitioned, almost two-thirds of the signatures were ignored. The law takes effect in October, so we have until then to reverse the decision. Any ideas will help.

I have A Boston Terrier, She is 11 years old, and in the last year I have noticed that when I give her just one bite of food from the refrigerator, she throws up…

And I forgot one day and I gave her one bite of ice cream, and 30 sec. later she threw up.
After she throws up, she is not sick, she turns and eats her dog food that’s room temp, its just food that’s real cold.

I have always given her cold food at times and it never bothered her, until about a year ago she stared it.

Has anyone else have a dog that dose this?

I have two pet rabbits and I'm planning on getting a maltese puppy. I heard that females are more protective and will bark at other animals, but I wanted people's opinions.

Please don't just tell me to take her to the vet. I'm already aware that I should do that, but we don't have the money right now so it's not an option unless we're certain it's very serious. I don't need to be told why I should even if it's something small or whatnot because I am aware of everything that might happpen if I don't.

I'm just wondering if there's some animal professional (or something close to it) out there who might be able to tell me whether it's harmful or not and what I can do in the meantime.

Thanks.

Recently lost my best friend, 6 year old rottie to a stroke. I lost his sister to cancer 2 years ago. I know god never gives you more than you can handle, but sometimes life isn't fair. It's hard to say goodbye.

The dog has done his "duty" and the cats have followed suit. The smell is nauseating -- any ideas?

for the past couple of days i have noticed that there has been poo stains on my carpet but wasn't sure which dog it came from. The past day i noticed there was throw up that was very dark looking. I have tried to get him to drink pedialyte or eat any rice or boiled chicken, his rectum is very pink and completely covered in his own bowel movement. We tried to clean him up the best could and leave him in the bath tub with the pedialyte and food, but has still not tried to eat or drink. His nose is very dried up and even having trouble breathing due to clogged. I have been trying ti wet his nose and even using a sirenge minus the needle of coures that you would use for marinating a turkey to try and get as much out of his nose. was successful in clearing nose of burgers but still congested. What can and should i do? just got out of hospital myself and can not afford to take him to emergency vet.

His name is Finny and he is the greatest dog we have ever had. He is friend to all, cats included. Many people think he is a mutt, and some say that he is a purebred of an obscure breed.

Just for fun, what do you think he is?

You can see him right here:

The vet says she has all her adult teeth. She has chew toys. Lots of them. She chews rawhide and real bones from Petsmart. She is kept in a crate while we are away. She just started this chewing on furniture. this happens when we are there. She has good dog food, is exercised and well fed. Will buy Sour Apple spray tomorrow although I don't have high hopes. (the ingredients are simple to put together.) I do tell her no , loudly, when she bites something she shouldnt and give her her stuff instead. Help!
