because dogs will explore ANY interesting scents... =and= because U put them WHERE HE CAN GET TO THEM.
a] this is a nasty habit, as it intros BRAND-NEW bacteria into Ur dog's mouth, as WELL as any other stuff - spermicide? antibiotix? etc? - that =could= make Ur dog seriously ill, or CREATE NEW ANTIBIOTIC-Resistant ORgs!!
b] what are U going to do when Ur "pre-primed" M dog starts assaulting other women? or stealing underwear & eating it?
good chance Ur dog will be getting Emergency Surgery w/in 12 mos... do U have a spare $1400 to 2k lying around?
start saving now...

Because he just loves you THAT much!! As everyone has pointed out.....you're in heat and ALL dogs do that. Take your trash out....and remember this---that same dog that's munching on your bloody rags is the same dog YOU let lick you in the face. Don't yell at the dog...yell at the owner.

It's instinctive for carnivore animals to be attracted to the scent of blood...try taking them outside immediately to the garbage, or if you catch him in the act doing it, spray him with a water bottle and say NO.

because a female dog when she goes into heat bleeds so it's natural for a male dog to be attracted to that sent.
