2 weeks ago we introduced our 2 female cats to my roommates male cat (who he says is neutered and is approx 5-6 years old adn quite large, purebred bengal cat) The problem we're having, is we have to keep the females locked up at night, so the male can do his thing, and during the day, we lock the male up so the 2 females can do their thing. We're at our wits end. how can we help them get along or at least tolerate each other. My females are living in fear, and it's become very stressful. Getting rid of either of the cats is definitely not in the cards.

Any help would be apprecaited.

I live in a pretty small apartment and have to keep the litterbox in the bathroom. Let me tell you - it is NOT fun to get out of the shower and step right into crunchy litter on the floor. Unfortunately my cat, who I recently adopted, has used an uncovered pan her whole life and refuses to go near the covered box I bought, preferring instead to do her business behind it. I am wondering what other options I have. The mat I bought to catch the litter has been pretty much useless, as has "non-tracking" litter (she likes to dig).

Please help, this is just disgusting!

My cats attack each other and sometimes they start biting each other's paws and I can't calm them down. Their just kittens and we got them near January this year. How can I calm them down without hurting them?

She has a litter box but has went to the bathroom twice on the kitchen floor in the past month. Is she being spiteful? Could it be a health related problem?

So.. we recently adopted a straty cat.. one that was found in the woods of national state park. The cat seemed extremely tame, craved human attention and responded as a domestic cat would. We immediately took this new addition to the 24 hour vet to have him checked out and all shots... while there, he bit his new found owner on the finger in an effort to get to food. We of course were advised to immediately receive rabies vaccinations since the status of rabies was unknown and the cat had been found in the wild. Now the question is... 10 days is considered the "quarantine" period but all the literature indictes that the rabies virus can "incubate" over a much longer period of time... how long do we really have to watch the cat? Should we be concerned? There is some snappy behavior recently in response to human petting, but othertimes completely affectionate. This of course could be normal cat behavior -- leave me alone right now -- but we still wonder.......

I am considering buying a white Persian kitten as a Christmas present for my two daughters. Can anyone please tell me what they are like around the house? Are they clean or messy? I also own two cockatiels. Would that be a problem? Thank you.

Last week my cat Reeky died, it was all very sudden, he was off his food for a few days before and kept laying in the same place by my house. on wednesday i found him dead.
Reeky only came to live with us last year when my cat (Cindy) of 21 years went blind and got abcesses and had to be put down, he'd been wandering about outside for 6 months or so but he moved in the day Cindy was put to sleep. i think he knew that Cindy was ill and going to die so he just walked right in and made himself at home!
Another cat (Sizzla) turned up and has been hanging about outside for the last few months and again, he moved in the day Reeky died he went round claiming everything that was Reeky's but the really weird thing is that Sizzla is always sitting in front of or just to the side of Reekys grave just looking. he's been there for on and off for 6 days now and we don't know why. has anyone else had anything similar? i hope Sizzla's not going to dig up Reeky's grave. Reeky & Sizzla were enemys!

Was talking to my girlfriend the other day and we were not sure what to do about our Christmas tree this year. I know my Maine Coon will just knaw on the needles where she can reach, but the other one scares me. I'm afraid he's going to have a field day with th ornements. He's generally not destructive, he just likes to get into things. So any ideas?

One of my cats sits directly on our radiator (when it's on!) as the radiator has a flat box top. She gets very warm. Is this bad for cats? I remember being told as a child not to sit on the radiator but can't remember why it was bad for you. Does anyone else's cat do this?

i have an appointment tomorrow to have my kitten (he's already fixed, and it was done before i adopted him so nothing i can do about that) declawed. My old cat was declawed but that was so long ago and i was so young i cant remember. What should i expect? How do i prepare? I know i have to use paper shavings as litter. But how much pain will he be in, will they give me pain meds for him. How long will he be down, can i still go with his regular feeding routine (dry food all day and small amount of moist once a day), will he hide? any info would be appreciated, thanks!! (i dont what to do it, but im out of options, so for all of you who want to leave the rude comments, go ahead, your opinion wont change my mind)

It can't be REGINA or REGGIE. Anything you could think of would be greatly appreciated. My chosen mother's name is Gina and my best friend is Rae. This is a female cat.

I have friend who's cat has lymphoma (cancer). The Vet says it will cost almost $4,000 for the cat to be treated and he may still only live another 6 months to a year and the quality of life will be minimal. Should he spend the money or have the cat euthanized?

We have a stray cat who has become very friendly. She had kittens (not her first set) about 6 weeks ago and we gave them away to good homes, but unfortunately it was rather abrupt... one day they were here, then they were all gone in an afternoon. Now she is constantly meowing and looking for them.. How do I get her to calm down and move on?

It is *not* polydactyly as far as I can tell- he has normal paws and claws (5 'fingers' on each front paw, 4 on each back paw, one normal claw per finger) except for the claws growing out through his paw pads! He is not infected, does not seem to be in pain, but I am concerned that they may become infected or cause pain later. Does anyone have any experience with this?
