cats should be spayed or neutered at 6 months of age. take him to the vet and they should be able to tell you about how old he is.

If you think he is about 4 months now, get him neutered now. He will be spraying by the age of 6 months. And the earlier you get him neutered the easy it is on him too. Alot of vets reccommends 2 pounds for kittens on spaying/neutering or males when they testicles drop back there. But it all depends on the vet too, but he is older enough if you think he is 4 months either way.

And telling a cat's age, go by their teeth, if their have yellow/tater over a year, more yellow/tater, the older the cat. If the cat has clean white teeth, they are under a year and you gotta use your own judgement on months there. Baby teeth, could be 2/3 months and so on...Hope this helps.

Your cat should be neutered between 4 and 6 months. The earlier the better because he will recover quicker. As for as its age the Vet. determine his by his teeth.

Vets are now suggesting early surgery and at 4 months he is about the right age. This way he won't start spraying, a very nasty smell..........They are just doing is normal behavior......marking his territory! So by all means check with your Vet to see if HeorShe ops for early surgery.

I'm surprized that the vet didn't tell you how old he is when you brought him in after getting him.

4 to 6 months is recomended usually at about 6 months is best.

4 months is old enough. It`s beter to neuter him before he starts to spray.
