No, cats always find the most comfortable spot - the coolest in summer and the warmest in winter. Sounds as if your cat is very clever, so just put something on the radiator to make it more comfortable for her.

As long as she's not sitting directly on top of the radiator, you'll be fine. That sounds common among cats, my dog acts like a cat all the time, she has taken up residence in the front window.

No don't worry your cat is fine. She would move if the radiator began to burn her. Cats love warm spots, but to make it a bit comfier maybe you could put a blanket or her bed on top of it.
As a christmas present for your cat you could buy her one of those radiator beds that you loop over the radiator so it hangs down.

My cats like to curl up as close to the radiators when it is on as possible. I have one of those beds that hangs on the radiator and they love sleeping there. I also have to watch where I step when going upstairs. On my landing I have pipes to the radiator running under the floor so my floor gets very nice and warm and my cats love to sleep there too. Which can be a pain when trying to walk as my landing isn't very wide!!

I hope it isn't bad for them because my cats do it all the time, one of them sits with his nose pressed against it! They just jump off and stretch out if they get too hot. One of them sleeps on the back of the TV and on top of the sky box, which I feel is probably worse than the radiator. My old cat used to sleep on top of the microwave which is even more worrying! - Leave them to it, if they're uncomfortable they'll get down, if not I doubt it does any harm at all.

I wouldn't have thought it was very good for your cat. But they do sell those radiator shelves for cats. And I know that cats can withstand temperatures up to 45 degrees. We have an open fire and my lot lay down in fromt of that. Apart from getting the occasional singed fur from a spark, they love the heat.

It depends of the temperature of the radiator, what if the radiator explodes or leak, i think that your cat feels cold and is looking for a warm place to rest, maybe if you put it a sweeter or something to keep it warm, be the best.

cats seem to love warm, cosy places. I don't think i'd recommend that they sit upon a radiator though. What if the cat gets burnt somehow....I wouldn't recommend you let your cat do this. find him an alternative warm place...like putting a hot water bottle(not too hot) under a thick blanket in the cats bed...make sure the blankets thick enough so that he doesn't get burnt though.

No it's not bad for them, mine has a little bed that hangs from the radiator and she loves it, the only time she comes out from it is when the radiator goes cold.

Yes, My cat boils himself on the radiator. I tend to move him away as I worry that he'll get heatstroke. Try putting a towel over the top of the rad to help absorb some of the heat.
