I heard from someone elses question that weird purring can lead to cancer. I also feel a lot of oddly shaped bumps on her side as well when I pet her. She hasn't had any shots or anything since we found her a stray. Is it possible she could have cancer? (I know for a fact she doesnt have rabies though)

I have three cats and so I have gotten an automatic litterbox cleaner so they won't have to use a dirty one. However, the litter box will be clean and if theres anything left on the floor or they are not watched in the living room they will pee (only) on that item. Any ideas on why they feel the need to do this and a way i can make it stop? ( I have reprimanded, rewarded, and bought "No Go" , nothing seems to work) Im so frustrated!!!

i got a 4mo old kitten 12 days ago from the humane society. a week ago he started sneezing. he's been to the regular vet for a check up and they said he was healthy. i took him to the humane society vet a few days ago for his sneezing. they prescribed clavamox. i waited a few days since i'm against meds unless really necessary. my 1 year old cat is sneezing a lot too now. the kitten had diarrea this morning and was gagging this morning, but nothing came out. i decided it was valid to use the meds. i gave him his first dose this morning. he vomited about an hour later. it was the medication he vomited, white and foamy. i'm very worried about him and concerned for my other cat. it's thanksgiving so no vet is going to be open. since he was gagging before the first dose, i'm thinking he vomited from being sick rather than from the meds but i'm not qualified to determine that. should i give him his second dose this evening or take him off?

One of my family's kittens, Ernie, has gone missing. She is about seven months old, and she has grey tabby markings. She has no tags or a collar or anything, and she hasn't had her shots or been fixed yet (Yeah I know, shame on us. We were going to get that done in the next week.) She has been missing for a few days now. She gets out sometimes, but she always comes back. This time, she hasn't come back. What can we do to try to find her, besides put up posters around town (we're doing that)?

I have observed my kitten alot, and I have noticed that he only blinks when he is REALLY tired. Are kittens/cats supposed to blink?

And yes, I have made sure that he doesn't blink, I am 100% sure of that. Thanks in advance!

When we came back from the shopping, I gave my 18 year old female tabby Kitty a clap on her head, to discover a very large lump on the back right of her head extending down the right hand side of her neck, the lump feels hard, but she appears to be in no distress or pain. Before we went out, she was fine, this appeared within a space of 90 Minutes. I'm concerned that this is something majorly serious and should we take her to the vet with some urgency. I'm looking for some serious advice, I'm in no mood for smart alec comments, they won't be appreciated, serious suggestions however will.

My cat talks to me, really. She is 11 years old and I got her when she was just 5 weeks old. I literally raised her, she saw we finish two schools and university, she sleeps with me every night! When I come into my room, she will say "Ma!", never with anyone else. If I ask her "You want some?" she replies "Aaaa" very excitedly. If I say "come along, come along" she gets up immediately with a loud "mmmmaaaaaa" and runs after me like a puppy. If the door is closed and she is locked out, she will scream an anxious "MAAAAAA!" and then bang on the door with her paws until I open. Sometimes I will ask her "You like?" and point to a new dress or object, and she'll either answer with a "ja" and stroke against it, or pull back her ears and show a disgusted face.

Sometimes I hear a distinct 'mama' and she only talks to me like that. There are distinct differences when she responds to my parents and sister. People are always amazed when they hear her. What are your experiences?

I was reading about feeding cats raw meat etc on here and it sounds like a good plan but quite long winded for people working full time. I was wondering what the best mass produced cat foods are and where i can get them in the UK?
