Take kitty to the vet for a urinalysis to see if kitty has crystals in urine or see if kitty has urinary tract infection. Peeing outside litterbox is a big sign of that. It will let you know if it is a medical or behaviour problem. If it is medical, it is treatable and will also get kitty to stop.
Try putting kitty in litterbox a few times a day as well to see if she'll go for you. This will teach him to go there.

There is that special smell in the dogs bed the cat likes. If your using bleach, stop. For some odd reasons, cats love the smell of bleach. put some sort of flowery smell on the dog bed, it should keep the cat away from it. If you see the cat doing this, get a water bottle and spray the cat with it, and yell NO!

Yup your cat is just being a cat, it is claiming its terrotory, and seems to not like the dogs very much. Cat is saying by peeing on the dogs beds that "This is MY house". Dogs will do the same in households that have cats. Its the "Dog Vers. Cat wars that have been going on for years, If you own both, then you get to watch the war...amuseing as it is.

That's funny. My cat did that too. Bought my dog a nice bed & the cat took over. If your dog doesn't use his bed anymore because of the cat taking it over, he could be saying "the cat's the boss" or he's afraid that the cat might swat him if he gets back in his bed. Do you have some old bedding with the dogs' scent on it? Just put that or anything with the dog's scent back in his bed & hopefully he'll start using it again.

I have two suggestions, both work brilliantly and are harmless, just unpleasant for split second.
Boil up a hand ful of chillies, , after boiled simmer 10 mins, cool and drain.
Put the discarded chillies wherever you don,t want animals to dig or spray, bottle up the chillie solution into spray bottle, and spray around and under , even on the dogs bed, regularly till the cat keeps off, and I can assure you, it won,t be more than a day or two.
It works wonders with plants too and mats you wish to keep animals off.
The other is catnip. just keep a plant in the garden and sprinkle the leaves under and in dogs bed, its great.
Can now purchase in a sachet, and oil , but the plant is easy to grow and can be used for many other things too.

I had a problem with my cat doing this for a short period of time. He was neutered as well, although he seemed to get along with our dog, he was very jealous if the dog got attention and he didn't. For instance I made a mental note to greet the cat first. Also animals with urinate or deficate if they are experiencing any internal problems. Ex: Urinary tract infection etc... Their way of letting us know they might be having problems. Might want to check with your vet to see if all is okay...

my cat does it to if u wash the bed the cat can still smell where it peed you might have to get rid of it and get a new one then spay that stuff on it that makes him not go on it ( i cant remember the name of it but ask for it at the pet store) then get the stuff that makes him go and spray it on the cat litter to show him that's where you want him go (you need two cat litters box's for every cat)
you can try to get the cat pee out buy soaking the bed in vinegar over night then wash it i hope this helped

This is a tough one. In my experience once a cat has started peeing on something it is unlikely to stop. Even if you wash the thing thoroughly the cat can still smell traces of it's pee. Speak to your vet and see if she or he can recommend something to put the cat off.

male cats are known to be very conscious of their territory. they are also very possesive. maybe he is marking his territory on the dog bed though he is fond of the dogs. after all, he sleeps there right? my cat does it all the time. i scold it (though he listens to me sometimes) or use flea/tick repellant mildly on the bed to keep the cat from peeing. it works sometimes, but it is better than to have it marking its territory all the time!!! good luck!!!
