I have an almost 6 month old kitten and she has 2 modes... fast forward and stop - when she plays I get tired keeping up with her and when she sleep I'm afraid she's in a coma sometimes. It's perfectly normal.

Sleeping is most of what a cat does it is very normal for them to spend 18 - 20 hours a day sleeping. When they are not sleeping they are active, usually at night. They will eat, bathe and play in the few hours they are awake. And as the cat gets older the sleeping will get longer.

Hi there, most cats love to play, but more than anything they love to sleep! I would be more concerned if my cat didnt do anything at all, all day, but she goes out for a while, has a bite to eat and goes back to bed! Honestly, i wouldnt worry, the fact that your cat plays alot is great, means they are happy, relaxed, alert and fit!
Take care xxx

It sounds like he is just using up all of his energy playing. Cats are creatures of comfort, they only do what they want to do, if cat wants to plat and sleep then I'd say he is perfectly normal. If he is a house cat, then he will have a lot of energy to use up as he is not outside chasing birds, mice ect. But thats fine too, some cats don't go outside and they're perfectly ok. As long as your treating him well and he's not puting on any weight then I'd say your doing fine.
Hope this helps xxx

Yes it is extremely normal for cats to play and sleep an excessive amount. So long as your cat is eating and pottying normally, you don't have a problem, but if you are that concerned, call your vet.

Cats love to sleep and they love to play! Cats also love to eat. Your kitty is very normal. Have a happy Thanksgiving and give your kitty a scratch on the back by the base of his tail for me.

It's OK. Cats sleep about eighteen hours daily on average, and if elderly will maybe grab more zzzzzs.
