What did this mean?

It just means that the cat likes you, and feels safe and content around you, and some how you had salt up there, and he was grooming you.

I assume the one licking you above the eyebrows was the kitten, not your friend? If this is the case, it just means that the kitten likes you and/or the salt on the surface of your skin. Cats do that all the time. I had a kitten once that licked peoples eyelids to wake them up for attention.

Awwww, the kitten likes you. My kitten likes to lick my chin once in a while when she's in a really loving mood.

My kitten does this as well - it's just a sign of affection. Takes alot to earn a cats love and trust - be happy the kitty loves you!

My cat licks my nose and arms and face constantly every night when I am sleeping he comes next to my pillow and with his arm pulls my face towards him and licks and licks and I kiss him and he licks me this goes all night , and if I am home during the day he licks me whenever he gets close to me . I love my cat very very much and he knows that I take good care of him. It is their way of showing you they love you .
