My cat stole some fish on the market and now she is in jail...
and I don't have enough money to get her out

A homeless cat adopted me and I subsequently discovered she was hiding 3 kittens. They are beautiful & healthy (vet checked etc) and I have found homes for them for when they are ready but I have no experience with this previously and I want to make sure the separations take place with as little trauma as possible. They will be 10-12 weeks. They are currently 6-8 weeks and are suckling less and mostly for comfort at this point.
2 of the kittens are going together, the 3rd to a home with other pets. I am keeping the mother who is herself less than a year old. Can anyone offer advice? Thanks.

Absolute STRANGEST thing ever.

My cat seems to hate my laptop, cell phone, remote control, all my books, she gets really angry when I pet other cats, and she follows me everywhere. From one end of the house to the other, right behind me. She'll leave a room I'm in, but come running to me when I go to move.

She was one of 31 dropped off at the Humane Society still feral, and I met her two months after that. I've been a mother to her, but it's really frustrating when she attacks my phone when I put it down.

I wont even get to details about what she's like when the boyfriend comes over...

answers I got b4 I adopted a cat was that cats are real independent but not the case with my kitten. He's 5-7 months old male orange tabby.he was with his sister when I adopted him and surrounded my tons of cats.At first I had him stay at my friends house for 2 months with another cat.Now he has been living with me for about a month but he always follows and cries for me.Will adopting another cat help this situation a lot. what would you believe to happen by doing so?On petfinder.com I hope a local agency that has a white also short hair domestic cat, which is female, says she gets along with cats and dogs(we have 2 poodles).I'd think she'd be perfect.she's fixed 2. will this have positive results, why or why not?and any advice or introducing them, anything like that?Plus my dogs are curious and friendly with my cat, though he stays down the basement. this female cat is 1 years old.

My guy is 12 yrs old. He has always been a puker but its getting ridiculous and hubby says enough is enough. He eats dry food and I give him cat snacks made for hairballs. Does anyone recommend a cat food which is less liable to make him puke? Also, any tips on a good stain remover for the puke, which appears to have some sort of dye in it from the dry food. The regular rug shampoo isn't doing it. Thanks...........

THIS IS A REAL QUESTION PLEASE BE SERIOUS
ok, so i have a 9 week old kitten, and she does the weirdest things.
when i sleep, she tries to crawl into my mouth, head first...

i know that kittens like to brush up against you, for affection, but this is beyond a joke.

a friend told me that cats have a sensitive area in their cheeks, thats why they head butt things, because it feels good, almost sensual for them.

i always thought it was a sign of cat/human affection or ownership....

if this is true about cats and their sensitive, arousing cheeks.... could this be why she is trying to climb into my mouth??

Kitty has a long history. She was the runt of 31 and was thrown into the Humane Society, feral, with her sibs.

2 months later they go for adoption and I name her Orange.

Now, she's a year and about 4 months old and she STILL has suckling tendancies. I've called vets, psychologists, pet psychologists, animal control, the Humane Society.

They tell me she was taken from mom too early, or not given enough of moms "TLC" as a kit.
Sounds about right.

She'll playfully nip fingers, noses and elbows, and she'll lick. I thought it was cute, but now that rough tongue and sharp teeth are waking me up in the night.

I've tried saying "NO!" I've tried tapping her on the end of the nose.
There's two other cats in the house, and she grooms the smaller one. (About six months) No interest in the big one.

She's got all her first year shots (rabies and boosters are a paycheck away), she's a fixed indoor cat, prefers Friskies to any other food, if any of that helps.

Love her sooo much. Any help?

We have adopted a feral kitten (long story). We are new cat owners. Advice is needed!!!
1) my husband guesses the cat is about 7 weeks old, but I don't know how to tell. It will eat wet and dry kitten food, though I added some water. How do you tell how old it is?
2) what is a normal activity level for a kitten? Our kitten won't come out from under the dining room table. I have a box under there lined w/ old clothes for her to use as a little nest, plus food & water and a litter box. It is not very curious or active.
3) it has a little drainage from the right eye, which closes more than the other one, but still opens ok. I will take her to the vet, but tomorrow is a holiday and I am just wondering if I should go to the emergency clinic or if it can wait for an available regular appointment, when we can get shots too.
4) should I start worm medicine immediately or wait to see what the vet says?
5) How do I tame a kitten this old? Should I pick it up even though it hisses & runs away?

I have twin cats, boy and girl. I want to make sure they're comfortable. They sleep together in the walk-in closet next to the litter box. I have a cat bed and wasn't sure if they would like it better there if I stick it in a certain location and try to get them to use it. Should I leave them be or should I set up a sleeping arrangement for them? If so, what should I consider and what do cats generally like for sleep conditions?

My cat's about 4 1/2 years old in human years, and just today my cat decided to go crazy.. (that's what i think anyway). She acts like she doesn't know my family. She threw up today and she peed on the stuff in the garage when the garage door was open (the last time she did that was when we first got her)..She came in the front door and ran around the house for about 15 seconds and then she wanted to go out again. I tried coming up to her and petting her but she just ran away.
Should I take her to a vet, or is it just a 1 day thing. Any theories , Please HELP!!

my mom is really picky when it comes to food...and she refuse to have dinner anywhere there are live dogs or cats walking around.
the house we're having dinner at has lots of cats and cat hair flying EVERYWHERE, and it seems unappealing to her.
what can they do about this? and is there a possibility that cat hair could be in our dinner?!

4 days ago and havent left since. I love animals and couldnt just ignore them( I tried for the first night) so I started feeding them outside. I cant bring them in cuz my tom cat will not tolerate another pet in the house, it drives him nuts with them just being outside. He sits at the back glass door and stare and meows at them. Anyway..my family tells me that I shouldnt have fed them cuz now they wont go away and they are also leaving me lovely little dead bird "gifts" on my steps. It doesnt bother me having them here and they're very sweet cats. Did I do the right thing by feeding them?

My Cat gorges on dry cat food- then promptly runs away (usually onto someones bed or to the couch) and vomits.

Do you think it's because he is a boy cat named "Rosie"? Do you think maybe his gender confusion issues are causing him to hate his body?

By the way- it's not working... he's still quite a rotund little feline.\

HELP!!!

My kitten is 5 months old. Everytime he is in the kitchen and I open the refrigerator door, he jumps in and runs to the back so that I can't get him out easily. I tell him NO, take him out and sometimes tap him on the nose. He seems unaffected. Well, my worst fear almost happened tonight. I got myself a snack and a glass of milk and I was going to take my pill, but I forgot it. I did some household tasks and in about an hour, I went to get a little more milk to take my pill and the kitten was in the refrigerator. He seemed a little lethargic. I warmed him and he seems better, but I am a wreck. I can't stop crying. If I hadn't needed to take my pill, with more milk he would have been in there all night and would most certainly have succumbed to the cold and lack of oxygen. How can I keep him out of the refrigerator? Somebody please help.

My 17 month old cat is now fully grown and is looking a bit overweight. However, I have weighed her and she is only a bit over 6 pounds. She is quite long-haired so I wonder if that's why she looks big?
