try a small tin of pilchards in tomato sauce. I have a cat who gets constipated after fracturing his pelvis and this helps him to go. Of course the other 11 cats have to have some too so I have to buy the big tins. Otherwise try some diluted evaporated milk in warm water.

It depends on how long he has been constipated. Is he still eating? Is he at least trying to go? Problems like this should be checked by the vet especially if it has been going on for more than a couple of days. Eating grass is more for an upset stomach or hairballs and that part of the cat could be fine so he doesn't feel the need for it.

tis the season for pumpkin..a teaspoonful of canned pumpkin twice a day for a day or so should do it..then cut back to a teaspoon a day as a treat..most cats love it.
if he is not eating and drinking he needs to be checked for a blockage..Petromalt is used for hairballs..and would also work for constipation..any pet store would have it..

I always gave my cat Liquid Parrafin. If you go to the vets they should give you some and also a pipette and they will tell you how much to give your cat either orally or on his food. It workied a treat on my cat when he got constipated. Make sure though you have a cat litter tray handy, just in case of any "accidents"

In Australia you can buy a product called CatLax...it's like a molasses flavored gel that comes out of a tube...my cats love the taste....it also clears furballs. They should have a similar product where you are....call your local vet or a good pet store. Good luck.

get some rye grass seed from your hardware store, plant it in several flower pots and set in a sunny spot to grow, when grass
is about 2-3 inches tall give it to your cat, when he eats that one
put it back to grow again and give your cat a fresh pot
that way you will have an unlimited supply of greens for the cat
you might also try some canned green vegetables, mine always
loved asparagus
