I have a three month old kitten that I took in at six weeks because she had been abandoned. I am living alone with her in a camper while going to school full time and working two part time jobs. Lately, she has started to act up and get into everything. Today, when I came in to eat lunch between one job and class, she had unrolled half of the toilet paper all over the bathroom. Also, she likes to attach my feet and bite at my ankles. She will also randomly bite me in the back of my arm when I am sitting on the couch or working on homework. Is there any reason to this? How do I stop it? Also, is it a good idea to board her after she 'fixed' in November?

Whenever I'm in the kitchen preparing meals, of course the cat is there begging for food. He watches my every move hoping to seize the opportunity should a scrap as little as a micron in diameter fall to the floor. Anyway, day after day, month after month, he watches me open the cupboard door and throw waste into the garbage bin. He is never around when I empty it, so I'm wondering: Is he at all bothered that the bin never seems to fill up? Will his furry little head suddenly explode without warning one day?

I don't want it to tear up the furniture. Is it a good idea to go to the animal shelter and get one that has already been declawed? I will never again declaw a cat. It was a mistake .(I was much younger) If one has been declawed by another person and needs a wonderful home I have lots of love to give. Any downfalls to this. I do not wnat to get attached to a pet and give it up.

She has been potty trained since she was a kitten. She has never done this until a couple of months ago. We got a new cat a year ago, but this is really recent. She poops in the hallway about twice or three times a week. Sometimes she poops in the living room. What gives? She has plenty of water and I haven't changed her food brand (purina one). Please help, I want to keep her but I can't keep dealing with this.

I am thinking about buying one of those automated cat box cleaners, but I have heard many bad things about them, I would certainly love not having to scoop up my kitties poopy every day but.. I also don't want to waste my money on a product that doesn't work very well. Anyone who has one or has had one, please let me know, thanks.

Gracie the cat is very cute, but...odd. :) She frequently meows at me, stares at me until she has my full attention, then leads me to the middle of the bedroom floor and begins to lay down, streeeettccchhh out, and roll around. Then, she gets up, rubs against me, and wants to be petted. Nine times out of ten, she brings me to the the exact same spot. Occasionally though, she stops short of the bedroom to do the very same thing in the hallway. Mind you, she does this often...several times a day, actually. And, I give her an enormous amount of affection throughout the day, so it can't be for a lack of attention. Why would she do this?

Other odd things are done by her as well, but...this is the most immediate question I have about her behaviour. :) Any ideas? All help is much appreciated...

I was walking and came a cross a mother and aa good 9 feral kittens. I was tempted in taking one but seems like someone is feeding them on their porch. Im worried about all these kitten and mother cat (who looks less than a year old) and adding to the feral community. Is there someone I might be able to notify a non kill shelter who would adopt these out? Should I knock on the person feeding them and ask if I can be of any assitance? I would love to adopt one of these kittens as well to keep my 16 month old kitty company. Im in Chicago if that might help. The kittens are eating on their own and playing so they are about 8-10 weeks old. Should I just attempt to catpture them and take them in myself to a shelter so that they can be spayed and neutered even if it means putting the momma cat back out into the community if shes to feral to adopt?

Cats find the weirdest things interesting, mine like cardboard boxes, and find the pricey store bought toys to be uninteresting. I was wondering, what other home made toys I can make for my cat? I have given him boxes, toilet paper rolls, bunched up newspaper... he loves those thing. Any other ideas?

Hi I am socializing a very scared feral 3 month old kitten. I need a good name for him. He is black with peppered patches of brown and other dark colors. Very cute but scared! Maybe a good name will make him feel better! lol

The first is a waterer that supplies fresh water but uses batteries - all of the ones I've found use cords and we don't have an outlet where we feed our cats. The second is a unique cat toy that's durable and creates interest for a longer period of time - we're getting kind of tired of buying the balls, little mice, etc. that simply disappear under the oven or that they get tired of quickly. We have a 5-month-old kitten and a 1-year-old cat, if that helps.

I heard you are not suppose to touch kittens until after a certain time after the mom has had them or else she will move them. We have an outside cat and I wan't to get them use to humans before it is too late and end up wild like most the cats around here.

In my household of six cats, I have two male cats. Murray and Zoot. Both are litter mates of two years of age. They are best buddies, and can often be found curled up with each other. Murray is a big fluffy grey and white tux who does not seem to be very bright, but that's ok we love him the more for it.

A few days ago I was sitting in my computer cave when I heard a series of high pitched, girlie sounding meows. I looked over and Murray was standing in front of Zoot, and was apparently angry at something, because Zoot's ears were back, and he had that pinched, guarded, look on his face he usually gets when Katy Jane is staring at him.

This went on for several minutes, and It really looked like Murray was giving Zoot a tongue lashing in cat language. Then Murray jumped on Zoot, and they went rolling down the hallway in one ball of fur. Murray had spoken his peace, and they were friends again.

What do you guys think? Was Murray really communicating with his brother???

Hi,

I have a feral 3 month old kitten I am trying to socialize. (First time I have ever done this). He is soooo scared! He will let me pet him but he will hiss and be wide eyed quite a bit while I am doing it. He has gotten soooo scared a few times even after petting him for a good ten minutes he was so scared he urinated all over himself! Is there anything I can do to calm him down a bit? Kitty prozac or something?

Does anyone else have a cat like that? Anyone know how it happens. Mama cat was normal. They are quite cute, they look like they are wearing oversized mittens on their paws.
