The first is a waterer that supplies fresh water but uses batteries - all of the ones I've found use cords and we don't have an outlet where we feed our cats. The second is a unique cat toy that's durable and creates interest for a longer period of time - we're getting kind of tired of buying the balls, little mice, etc. that simply disappear under the oven or that they get tired of quickly. We have a 5-month-old kitten and a 1-year-old cat, if that helps.

Getting food into kittys system is of upmost importance! Without food, the liver and kidneys will have permanant damage done. You know she likes boiled chicken. Boiled chicken, cottage cheese, and rice was what was prescribed to my cat when sick with a senstive stomach. (Cottage cheese is okay with the lactose intolerant due to the needed enzymes being added while making cheeses). Babyfood chicken in chicken broth is also good. These foods are fine for awhile. Very long term isn't good because it doesn't have the needed mineral Taurine and such. Start with the chicken straight as is or babyfood. (I had both on hand depending on time restraints.) After a couple days, add just a touch of ground up kitten food (use a food processor) or use the brand ROYAL CANIN called BABY CAT. It's the best kitten food ever! Super tiny, easy to break up, nutritious and yummiest. Call around first because a lot of times it's sold out. Get the kitten food as soon as you get some chicken into kitty, you may find kitty will love that brand without having to be winged onto it.

I don't know of any water bowls that use batteries, mine has a cord. The other option would be one that has a tank and new water is added as the cats drink.

My cat also is sick of the balls, little mice, etc. that just get lost. I got him these large balls (about 2" diameter) that are really furry like the really furry mice. They don't go under furniture (except the bed) and he can carry them around by biting the fur. He loves them. He even grooms them when cleaning himself. He also really likes this electronic mouse that squeaks when you move it. He won't let that get trapped under the furniture.

My cat also has this circular toy that has a ball in it that he can't get out, but he tries really hard. He plays with it about 30 minutes a day.

Good luck!
