I noticed that two weeks after a Frontline treatment, the fleas seem to make a reappearance. I don't want to give a premature dosage of Frontline because I'm afraid it will irritate her. Is a flea collar a bad idea for that same reason?

My 4-year-old cat has been molting a lot over the past few months and his coat has become thick, lumpy and shabby looking even though he is only a shorthaired moggy. He has always had beautifully glossy fur up to now. Other than that he seems in perfect health. Should I be worried?

A week ago, the neighbors' cat came to "visit" at my boyfriend's front porch. He recently adopted an adorable dog, but it still needed a lot of taining, especially since the dog hadn't experience a cat before. Well, when the cat came, he turned around and saw my dog kill the cat in a quick instant. The neighbors are blaming him for killing their cat. Is it his blame?

Not much else to add except that sometimes they seem to get along fine, will even lay together. Next thing I know they are rolling around on the floor growling, bitting, and hissing at one another. Seems like lately they have both been losing hair durning their fights.

Ever since he was old enough to drink, he refuses to use his water dish. He loves drinking out of the toilet, a vase, the birdbath, the fishtank...anything as long as it's not his water dish. He also drinks out of glasses, but only if it is water. If it is anything else, he won't touch it. He sticks his paw in the glass of water, and then licks it off of his paws. It's very odd. I have another cat, and she uses her water dish just fine.

She will not quit following us around and meowing. I am worried she is neglecting the other kitten. She just had them late last night, and upon us getting home, we found one already dead (it looked like its stomach was eaten open?). Did she do this? Is she meowing to look for the other kitten? Has anyone else had this experience and how long do most cats stay with their kittens at a time? PLEASE HELP!

I have a beautiful cat with no health problems. What is so strange to me is that whenever I pet her and she cuddles with me her nose starts to run!!! Is this normal and if so, what causes it?

I have a 12-week old I brought home recently, and since I've brought her home, I've noticed small bumps appearing on her ears. I have a friend who has a cat that has the same problem every summer- tons of bumps on his ears and nose. When they took their cat to the vet, it was allergies. Seems like the same case with my kitten- anyone ever have a similar experience? How did you treat it?

I have 1 female spayed cat, and 1 male nuetered cat. They are brother and sister and have been living in the same house since birth. They were fixed at 6mos of age, and are now a little over 2 years old. Tonight, the male mounted the female and attempted to mate. The female didn't resist...I am confused...why would he have the urge to mate if he is fixed. Also, she is fixed, so she isn't in heat...do males still just have the urge, and if so, why all of a sudden 2 years later. Also, if this happened tonight, will it start to be a reoccuring thing? It was right in the middle of the livingroom! I'm worried that he's going to keep doing it to her...

these kittens are gorgeous. there are 2 girls and 1 boy, all pitch black with blue(at least for now)eyes.
time is very short because they will not be safe at all once they start exploring. we have a pit who is very good natured with people, even strangers, but hates cats because he has witnessed members of the family petting and feeding neighborhood strays through the window. we cannot turn to the local animal shelter because they do not have a no kill policy.we have called many shelters with no kill policies but none of them have room.we are hoping that someone out there knows of a place and we would appreciate your input greatly

She actually climbs up our trim, and will sit on top of our doors! We have all of our kitchen cabinets closed with hair tyes because she has to get into any door she can. She broke a curtain rod from trying to climb up the window, and falling on it. Does anyone have any suggestions besides de-clawing?! That is way to expensive!
