I live in an apartment, on the second floor with a balcony. I have a 10 year old Calico cat who's very sweet and loves to sit by the balcony window (what cat wouldn't?). I thought about letting her onto the balcony, but I'm afraid she might try to catch a bird and fall off the balcony. She's tried that next to the window sill and hit her head on the window. Yeah, I know. Cats can fall off high places and land on their feet. I just worry about her because she is older and her reflexes aren't like they used to be. She gets on top of the fridge fine, but she doesn't jump straight down from there. She gets off and on there from the kitchen counter. So, is it safe to let her onto the balcony unattended or should I just let her out there when I'm around?

My cat is a 3 year old female, and ever since we gave her mother away around when she was 3 months, she has been kneading on me at night. She doesn't lay on me at all, she just waits for me to lay down and then starts kneading on my belly. Why?

picked up a stray with the eyes crusted closed got the eyes cleaned up then when bathing it noticed a bunch of fleas we drowned the fleas in rubbing alchohol then dried her off and shaved her. couldn't find any more fleas on her but she has a cold like a chest congestion. so while i took a hot shower last nite i left her in the bathroom with me so she could get steam air and then i rubbed her chest . it seemed to help a little bit. anyone have any ideas on how to help this poor baby?

The sedative should not harm the cat neither the cat-trapper.
Can the sedative be given in milk or curd?

Which vitamins or cat food brand would you recommend? You see, my aunt had a cat and she fed him friskies dried cat food. adter some time, the thing had kidney failure and almost lost its life! Vet said it was because of the very high sodium content in friskies cat food.

I myself have never verified that but i would like to give the best that i can afford to my cat. any suggestions? Thanks so much!

Only since 3 weeks ago that my cat starts to wake me up at 5am in the morning and refuse to stop making noises (meowing). Only way I can keep her silence is to feed her a full meal then go back to bed but it gets so hungry again in 2 hours. There is no change on food, volume, feeding time and no worms. Does anyone know why and what can be done to solve it? I sleep with her every night but she is starting to adversely affect my sleep quality since this happen.

I adopted my kitty 1 1/2 years ago. He was a feral cat that was taken in by a shelter. When we first brought him home, he did not like to be near people. Now, he let's us pick him up and pet him. He even sleeps next to me sometimes. He's a sweet soul. But....he bites at my feet when I sit in the recliner. Sometimes, he'll sit in the window and go into attack mode when I walk by. It's rarely enough to break the skin, so I think he's just trying to play, but it still hurts! Any suggestions?

I have a cat that has lived indoors for most of her life, she is 11. Since we brought our daughter home nearly a year ago the cat has peed in the house. We have tried EVERYTHING short of getting rid of the kid to make the cat happy. We have just had to spend several hundred dollars replacing part of our floor due to cat urine. Sadly, I have put the cat outside as a last resort. She has food, water, shelter, etc but I cannot keep the slugs from getting all over her stuff. Any suggestions? Are slugs beneficial? If I should get rid of the slugs, how can I do so without hurting my cat?

I have a 6 month old male cat who hasn't been neutered yet, but will be soon. I have had him since he was 8 weeks old. I was told he was bottle fed. He didn't really have encounter with his mother, but he had litter mates for the first 8 weeks. He is a very nice cat who I can tell adores me. I live alone and don't have people over often. I do not have any other pets. He follows me around everywhere and meows a lot at me. He likes to cuddle, nuzzle, and purr his little heart out. Basically he's a very nice cat, but he gets very hyper and attacks me. He leaps at me when I'm walking, he attacks my hand when I'm using the remote for the TV, mouse for the computer, or anything. I don't use my hand as a toy. I use to squirt him with a squirt gun, have yelled NO, hissed at him, and even distracted him with his toys. Nothing seems to work.Is there anything else I can do? He really can get aggressive. Is he getting too old for that at 6 months, or is there still growing up for him?

ive just moved to a new place and every morning when i go to work i see that the neighbours cat has been sleeping on the softop of my convertible (and leaves little paw prints all over my windscreen). Does anyone know what i can put on the softop that obviously wont damage it but will repel the cat from sleeping there?
