By the time you get thia answer you will probably have found out the cat will come down on it's own if you let it.

The kitten I rescued was in a very big, high tree with a big, barking dog at the bottom. Since cats don't climb down, I got a very high, sturdy ladder and climbed up to the kitten and spent quite a while talking to the frightened kitten until she came to my hands and I firmly but gently grabbed her and brought her down. That was well over 10 yrs. ago and she is still here and a great addition to my human and animal family. I was no "spring chicken" when I went up that ladder. Hope this helps.

Unless you have a very tall ladder, the fire department may be your only route. Or maybe put some food at the base of the tree and when it gets hungry it'll come down on it's own.

We had our neighbor climb the tree to get my cat down when I was younger. He went up, got the cat loose and then dropped him into a net my dad was holding. The cat had been up there for over a day I think.

The cat will come down. I know I've never seen a dead cat under a tree or a cat skeleton in a tree....

Give it some time. If it still doesn't come down on it's own, call the city and find out who might be able to help.

Unless you have a very high ladder, I'm sure the cat will figure it's way down. Most do.

It'll come down by itself if you just leave it alone.

Have you ever seen a dead cat or cat skeleton in a tree?

You need:
- a ladder
- someone to hold the ladder still for you
- a big convas bag to put the cat in so it doesn't freak out

If it doesn't come down try an open can of tuna or call your local animal control officer and see what they tell you. I think spraying it would make it move up higher.
