We have this problem and use a timer feeder set to open at 3:30am. It works well, though one of our two cats has figured out how to break into it, so we now have to get a new one. In the interim, we are trying behavior modification and it seems to be working. Keep the bedroom door closed, and put a fan outside the door facing away from the door, as a deterrent. Then keep a squirtgun by the bed, and if they meow, get up and give them a squirt. They will run, and eventually figure out: meowing equals getting wet! Hope this helps.

Yes she is training you to wake you up when she wants breakfast. Don't listen to her, don't get up and feed her if you do she is going to wake you up again and again because she gets a reward (food and or attention). As hard as it is ignore the behavior don't ever give into it to make her stop meowing or she is going to do it every time she wants something. After a week or so she should stop if she doesn't get the response she is looking for.

Try feeding her at night before you go to bed. I don't know why, but a lot of cats wake their owners up in the mornings for food.

maybe it wants somthing else and then again it could just be because it knows that this is the only way that it can get your attention try putting it in a crate in another part of your house and just let it meow maybe it'll go to sleep

Cats are always hungry. Just feel them alot in the morning, a little in the afternoon, and more at night.
Remember they also want attention

Cats should have dry food available to them at all times. Cats are also very good at training their owners to wake up and feed them. It is very hard to do, but you have to learn to not respond to the cat. Eventually the cat will give up.

How do you know there is no chance of worms? Sounds like a trip to the vet. or atleast a call their way is in order.

I can think of one possible remedy, a self feeder, this is a dish that has a plastic bottle that tips upside down holding food for you animal. this works only for dry food, if your cat eats canned, then try to get them to eat dry occasionally and then try getting a self feeder. We had self feeders for our cat for when we were out of town, one for cat food and one for water, this worked out for us.

If an animal is causing you to lose sleep, it's pretty obvious you need to get rid of said animal.

It might be worms, a parasite or something. You should consult a vet.
