It can be from $30 at a spay/neuter clinic all the way up to $150 at a higher end vets office. Do some calling around, be very specific as to what kind of care your animal gets - this is a case of you get what you pay for. But a good average price from a reputatable vet should be right around $80. If that is high for you, see if you have any organizations that sponsor spay/neuters in your area that will help you defray the cost. A good place to check would be with your local ASPCA or Humane Society.

Depends. Some vets will charge between 50-300 dollars, which is amazingly expensive. I have had three cats neutered through my local SPCA and it was $30 per cat. They even do vaccinations for a good price, and they are people who really care about the well-being of animals.

Look up the website for PETA. Yes, that PETA. They have 'snip vans' that go from humane society to society, and they neuter and spay...they also provide shots...at VERY VERY low cost. I have had a few dogs done there. It's the best. Plus, they do NOT require a ton of shots to fix your cat like most vets do.

I took my little one to be neutered & was told it would be around $75. (It would have been $130 for a neuter & de-claw but I decided against the de-claw.) They realized when they did his pre-op exam that one of his testicles hadn't dropped yet. They removed one the normal way, but ended up basically doing a spay on him to get the other. Fortunately, it wasn't hard to find. It ended up costing $368 for the neuter & basic shots.

Anywhere from $60 - $100 dollars, depending on where you live. Prices in rural places tend to be lower.
