I found a mother cat and her kittens living in the wild(behind a grocery store)Hes 4 months old now and he constantly bites and scratches me.The only time i'm able to pet it is when he sleepy or going to sleep. Is it possible that this kitten will grow out of this or is it "wild "and untamable?I have another cat that never acted like this even when he was a kitten. All I want to do is pet the little varmit.

I have a yellow and orange striped 1 1/2 year old male cat. When I go to pick him up, though, he usually runs away, and he won't respond to the treats anymore. Does anyone know why this is, and how I can get my cat to like me again?

She's 5yrs old and has had this problem her entire life. We have to put plastic over our furniture, close doors to all the rooms but the cat room, make sure there are no papers/bags/clothes on the floor. Even if the catbox is brand new clean, she still will only poop in it and pee elsewhere. She does not have any illnesses and has always been 100% healthy at the vet. We've used Pinesol and animal urine removal products, but to no avail, she still pees. Any ideas/help?

We adopted Snowball a week ago.He is 9 weeks old,and my first cat ever.I have heard that de-clawing is basically amputation. What is your opinion of this common procedure?By the way--at 5 months I will have him neutered, but I am not ever going to have him de-clawed,even though he is an indoor kitty.

two of the kittens got one of their back legs tangled in the umbilical cords and their feet were practically purple. We took scissors and cut the umbilical cords and detangled them from the feet.I've been checking their feet every day to see if there is any improvement and they have been very red and swollen every day and they didn't seem to be moving them at all.Today when I checked ,their feet looked infected..all scabbed and looked like they have pus in them.I know this is really a question I should be asking a veteranarian but I am just curious to see if anyone has had a similar experience and if the animal ended up losing their feet. Thanks!

My aunt's cat was just diagnosed with diabetes and they cannot get it to eat...It is on the verge of liver failure because of not eating. Does anybody know of a good recipe that a kitty will not be able to resist?

She's tried everything and the cat only ate a tiny bit of tuna yesterday.

Thank you for your help. If it doesn't eat soon, I will suggest she put the kitty down. Very sad situation...They went through the same thing with another kitty several years ago!

I have seven 5 week old kittens. I have shown them all where the litter tray is and also shown them how to scratch in it as well to give them an idea. They still seem to think that my bedroom (behind my computer) is the litterbox. The mother has not shown them how to use the litterbox, and I am sick of my room smelling like @#@@, WELL YOUI KNOW!! Any ideas on how to get them to go in the box, and second how to get the nasty smell out of my capets and keep them from going on my carpets in the future?? Thanks in Advance

I've been having a serious problem with my cat lately, I need advice.

When he was a kitten, he was well behaved and loveable, but the older he got the more bratty be became. He's such a handful, I don't know what to do.

He yowls at the mailman something fierce, who is actually frightened of him (silly man) and won't enter our yard anymore.

His appetite has become enormous, I'm not sure how he manages it but he eats about 50 cans of cat food each day. This is way more than the books advise feeding him but I feel bad when he's hungry.

He has a tendency to jump up on me when I come home from work, which can knock me over if I'm not careful (he must weigh at least 400 pounds).

Some of the neighbors have demanded that I stop letting him out at night as their pets have been going missing. (Though I don't see how that can be his fault)

I've tried following the advice from books on cats, but none of it seems to help. What should I do?
