Kittens are usually pretty easy to litter-train. You've got 7 of them though, so it will take more effort than usual.
You'll want to have more than one litter tray for all of them. Try two or three, and get trays with low sides such as what painters use: A regular-sized litter box is going to be pretty intimidating to the little guys.
Keep showing them where the main tray is, though. And show them where the small trays are. Gradually as they get bigger and their bladders grow accordingly, move the small trays toward the main one. Eventually you'll be able to take them up.
You'll still want to consider keeping at least two trays though, but you'll be able to stick with regular-sized boxes. Which will ease the cleaning job!
There are a number of good products on the market for removing pet stains and odors. Or you could consider white vinegar and baking soda.

first - get some carpet cleaner that is made to remove pet soil and odors, as the area has been used several times, it will need a good cleaning, probably 2. After it throughly dries, sprinkle some baking soda on the area, to help absorb any addional odors. Next, make the area the kittens in smaller - the will not potty in their living/playing/sleeping space. Put them in a bathroom or even better a large dog kennel if you have one or can borrow one, and place a litter box in one corner, and leave them. It may take a day or two, but they should get the idea. It will be really difficult to get them new homes (I assume you are not keeping them) if they are not litter box trained, and the older they get the more difficult it will become to change bad habits.

You can either put all the kittens in the same room with the litter box. with much love you should basically lock them in the room with the box. This worked for my cat. Now for the smell you should use a carpet cleaner to remove the pee from the carpet. and if there is a stain of poo you can still you the carpet cleaner. you can also spray feebrze in the smelly area. Freebrze smells really good.

This is a pretty unusual problem. Kittens almost always find their way to the kitty litter, if it's kept clean.
Your problem now is the area their using is rich with their smell.
My suggestion would be to put down a layer of newspaper on a piece of plastic and cover with a light layer of Kitty litter where they've been going.(behind your computer?) let them use it.
after they have used it, dispose it. Repeat the same thing but move it toward the area you want them to use. Not all at once a little at a time.
Replace newspaper after a few times and replace with a low sided box with kitty litter and repeat moving it.
Got it-do it...

Put some of that @#@@ in the litter box and show it to them again. Clean the area they have been going with a cleaner that has enzymes in it to break down the minute particles of waste. Keep them in a contained area with the litter box where it is going to be located and out of your bedroom until they are using the litter box.

Yeah, that is a common problem. You gotta get rid of the smell behind the computer. Wash the area down in vinegar water.
Then, do whatever is necessary to make them go in the litter box. Keep them out of the room where they are going now.

to get the smell out there is this stuff called urine gone that is in a spray bottle but for the kittens when they are about to do it on the carpet bring them to the litter box or try to have their mother show them how it's done

Put the litter tray were they are going to the bathroom, for now. You probably need more that one litter tray with 7 kittens.

maybe the mom used that spot behind your computer before and that's what they smell. just keep putting them in the litter box so that they get the idea. you may need to move the litter box to that spot and then slowly move it to where you want. good luck!

when my cats were kittens, 3x a day i would put them in the box to get use to the sand. If they pooped on the floor i would take the poop and put it in the litter box. after 3 days they started using it by themselves. use a shoe box at first until they grow for training.
