Well, I adopted an adorable 1yr old Maine Coon a couple of days ago......and I also have two dogs.

my dogs are curious about him (they're both girls and very sweet)

but my kitty does nothing but hiss at them whenever they come near him.

I want for them to get along.....and i don't want this to end with my mom kicking my kitty out.... how do I get them to get along???

I've had my budgie for about 3 months now he looks to be about 4-6 months old. I think he knows me pretty well. But everytime i take out of his cage he always flys away from me. I was wondering When he goes into adulthood will he mature and get used to me more and let me hold him withought him flying away?

Cats have been documented to live over 30 years; in the Guinness Book of World Records, the oldest cat is 34-36 years. In human years a 30-year-old cat is over 130, and a 34-36-year-old cat is between 150-160. In Scotland, a cat is reported to have lived to be over 40 years old.

The average domestic cat lives 14 years, and mixed-bred cats live longer than purebred. Feral cats live about half as long as domestic cats because they have more fights, accidents, illnesses, predators, and food shortages. Cats can continue to breed even in their senior years. Twenty-year old cats have reared kittens. In human years, a cat that is 20 is about 95 years old.
So for you that keep saying that you dont know what to do take to a vet get some help for child(en)

Some dogs do just fine on pedigree or Purina or even kibbles and bits. My dogs even eat those except for my lab mix he can't eat those except purina and the grain free cause it will give him the runs.

Im not gonna tell you that their not good but there are better its just that some people really can't afford the price of a rain free bag like me.

I don't need you elling me that I should be feeding grain free because I have heard it before.

I have fed them it too just not all the time because its expensive.

Feral cats, by the very definition are wild animals. About the only other animals you can not shoot are endangered species. And in many cases feral cats are contributing to the endangerment by eating the endangered animal. We can not shoot the endangered animal and we can not shoot the feral cat that is eating the endangered animal.

Makes no sense

Interested in buying a boxer puppy but have been told to always try to buy from the first litter. For some reason, the first litter seem to be better pups than the following litters that the mother may have. why is that? also have checked around and found prices ranging from $400 to $1800. Some of these dogs aren't even show dogs, so what drives the price so freaking high. Last but not least, does anyone know where I might be able to get a nice boxer fawn from at a reasonable price?

We have two new puppies that are close in age (3 days apart), a pekingese and a pug. They are both 12 weeks old. We want to buy something natural (not toxic flea products) that will easily remove the fleas and keep the fleas away. We know they have fleas because we have a flea comb and found them on both of them. The puppies didn't come from the same place and they got the fleas from our home because our older pekingese (16 years) that passed away had them constantly and no matter what we used, they never disappeared. And we know to wash every linen, bed, carpet, that the fleas could be in.
We are just looking for a safe natural way to get rid of the fleas before our puppies destroy their body by biting and scratching themselves.

I am considering switching my dogs (two GSDS, ages three and ten) to a raw meat diet. They are currently being fed a commercial food that is nowhere near good. I have been learning more about dog food recently and I want to get them off the food they are currently on. So here are my questions...

Our older dog has hip dysplasia. Has there been any research about how raw diets effect dogs with hip dysplasia? I've read that it helps lower the risk of dysplasia (which is important for our younger dog, as the older dog is her sire).

What is the best way to switch a dog to a raw meat diet? I know with kibble dog foods you switch to the new food little by little. Do you do the same thing when switching to raw meat?

My main concerns are bones and bacteria. I've always been told that chicken bones are bad for dogs--that they splinter and can hurt a dog. I've also always been told that raw meat has bacteria and whatnot. Are these not true or do dogs have their own way of dealing with this?

Who agrees that it is sometimes the only solution in a given area for the problems ?

NOT who doesn't agree and why. I want to hear from people who have personal experience. I don't think its any paticular breeds fault. I don't believe that any breed is more likely to do this or that. But sometimes thats the breed in an area that is causing the problems

I have a Red Ear Slider who was born with no eyes. She is blind, but eats and lives perfectly well. Every time it gets brought people's first reaction is that it is cruel. I mean I didn't do this to her, she was born like that. Here is the video if you want proof:

i have recently found a little 8 month old stray kitten and as we are in the middle of storm season I want to bring her inside of a night (she has no problems with this she WANTS to go inside, also she has been living in my backyard for 3 or 4 weeks,) but my problem is that my parents own another cat (they are both female and my parents cat is desexed the kitten is not, don’t worry im going to get her desexed but am slightly worried as she might have owners somewhere looking for her) anywho the older cat always hisses and makes other such noises whenever she sees my kitten and this annoys all of us. We try to get them used to eachother but the other day the older cat charged her didn’t attack though just charged but I cannot leave a kitten out in the midst of cyclone season either there is no way they can avoid eachother all night?
Please help
Also the older cat was adopted from the pound (not sure if that makes a difference)
Thanks heaps
Angil
