I know there's a compulsion to get puppies because they're cuter... but so many puppies are bought, poorly taken care of for a few months, and end up in adoption shelters on death row. Why don't people adopt dogs instead, and shut disgusting, horrific puppy mills down?

In Missouri, is it illegal to leave your dog in the car for a while?

I need to show a friend of mine that it's not illegal (unless it is) so that I can bring my dog with me for a couple days on a trip.

It's going to be cold, but I'm going to bring blankets and everything for him.

i just got my corn snake last week and hes under 6 months old. Apparently they feed him at petco every friday and i got him on saturday. i fed him today but he would not eat. Is it normal for him not to eat weeks after you get a snake? and the temperature in the tank is 65 to 75 degrees daily he always has water which he drinks constantly and hes very active

yes, what do u think about ppl training their dogs to fight? its cruel! those dogs just want to please us, and the only way for them to please those ppl is by fighting! its cruel, and i hope those ppl rot in hell.

I've had my turtle (female Hermann tortoise) for about 2.5 years. She's probably around 3 years old now. Around last March, she started going crazy trying to hump everything in my room instead of walking around and exploring like she used to.

Is this normal behavior for turtles? I can't find anything online and my vet has just said that she doesn't know much about this breed of tortoise and that she's too young to be sexually mature. :/ She's otherwise eating normally.

Soooo we bought the pacman frogs and they havent eaten. We have crickets..the right size, and worms n all but they wont eat. They are in the right temp and everything so whats wrong with them? We never mess with them and they are up so nothing else can mess with them. We know alot about this stuff(exotic aniamals) because we have alot of them but these dang frogs arent helpin any lol! Anyhow anyone have any advice plllllease let me know! thanks!

Hi,
After much deliberation my mother has finally given in to the idea and is happy with me getting a little kitty (yay)
Anyway, i've never had a cat before. The only animal i've ever had have been fish!

I just need abit of advice about kittens and things.
How much does it cost to have them spayed/neautured?
Also the extras such as bed, food, toys etc
(i live in the UK!)

Also, how often should i feed him/her etc.
I'm probably going to keep him/her as a housecat but i want to take him/her outside every now and again just to the garden so is their a certain age i should wait before introducing them to the garden?

Any other advice would be great!
sorry if i sound like i don't know much but i thought i best get all the info before i get my kitty!
i'm getting him/her from a rescue center aswell, so don't worry!

#1:golden/orange, long and slender, not short and squat
#2:rust, green/blue, long and slender
#3:electric blue, long and slender
#4:bright yellow with 2 stripes running horizontally down its sides

-they are all about 3 to 4 inches
-what would be the best thing to feed them

the only info i have on them is that in the store the tank was labeled "african cichlids" they were multi colored and attractive

What is going on here, this is a really weird occurence. My ball python snake killed this white mouse I threw in there and she won't eat it.

She just deconstricts her self and tries to find away to escape from her cage!

Am I the only person this has happened to? What should I do?

I got him from the pound last Christmas, he was badly beaten and starved.
As a family we have done everything, but he still has a lot of issues and is still very scared.
Any hints on where we are going wrong.

Clare is usually a very playful and active cat, but recently I've noticed she is a bit more lethargic than usual and seems to be loosing weight. I'm wondering if all this is connected and would like to know (1) what it is and (2) what to do about it. I would prefer home remedies as I live in China at the moment and veterinary services are ... limited. However, we do have a very friendly vet who is open to suggestions from other vets. Help me please! My 6 month old, English Bulldog just got surgery. He had to stay at the vet for 2 days. Ever since about Tuesday ( when he came home ) he has been peeing in his cage, crying in the middle of the night, pooping in the house! They said they spoiled him. and they just laughed when we said he was out of control! PLEASE HELP! my mom said she is so close to selling him!

Oh and whenever he sees me he will bark SO loud and wont SHUT UP! HELP! It's like were back at root one!

I am crate training my dog and I take him out everytime he wakes up after a nap and so on. But i do not know if he understands that he cannot pee in his crate. I made the crate even smaller so he can only get up and turn around and i also took his blanket. And when i take him out sometimes he either just stands there or lays down. Should this work and if not what should i do?

In another question someone made mention of the fact that "show" breeders have problems selling their dogs and that's why they have issues with non-show breeders. Since I don't think a dog has to be a conformation champion to be bred I really would like the information from ANYONE who is breeding dogs.

i want community fish ..am going to start off with just live rock and fish and later move to coarls little by little

and when i start it i just siphone the water not the live sand ? right?

any advice is welcomed . and am sure 40 gallons is good cause i see small 10 gallons at the aqueriuam places that look beautiful . and name me some great fish to have am an expert at freshwater so gave me all types of fish that i should have not just the easy ones but the good ones and please ADVICE!!!

ill be walking through the living room and my cat will just take off running from across the room, fly into the air with his claws out and bite my leg. One minute he loves it when i pet him but then he bites me super hard, sometimes even draws blood. when he plays he always get really defensive, like his hair will be standing up and ears pinned back and then he tries to attack. My boyfriend has a 1 year old little girl that loves my cat, he knows better that to bite her but when she pulls his tail or steps on his feet he kinda looks over at me and cries. why is he so easy with her and not the hand that feeds him? i have tried yelling, thumping the ear, putting him in time out, throwing him (no harm), spraying him with water and nothing is working. he still tries to eat me? could it be he hasn't been clipped yet?? can someone please help me? im tired of having nasty bite marks and scratches up and down my arms!!!!
