Depends on how she got her hernia... If it is genetic, then you probably don't want to breed her. But if she got it at birth, from her umbilical cord getting removed or something, then yes! She can have puppies

Yes a dog can be bred with a hernia depending on which kind of hernia it is. If its a hernia caused by the Mother pulling on the umbilical cord after birth then its okay but if its one that was caused by genetics then no.

They are actually midline defects which are genetic in nature. If you are talking about an inguinal hernia, then NO absolutely not. You would be risking a rip. If you are talking about an umbilical hernia, then it is not as much of a risk unless it is huge. But it is still a defect.

It is a DEFECT and you don't breed dogs with defects!!!! Hernias can be CONGENITAL...that means she can pass it on to her puppies and some can be VERY bad!
