If you groomed your dog at PetSmart, then that's why they want you to come to Banfield. They support them, and make money off of them.
Tomorrow - just go to a regular emergency veterinarian. I don't approve of Banfield, just because I used to work at PetSmart, and I've seen everything. I've been in other PetSmart's as well.
They're all the same.
As for right now, there's probably nothing you can do right now. Just cuddle him and make him fee like King Dog. :)

Aloa is good to put on it . It will sooth the area and help it heal. Just make sure he doesn't lick it as it can cause diarrhea. If the dog was matted, it could have been unavoidable to shave extra close, or if the dog is scratching and licking constantly he could be causing the irritation. Keep that in mind. If the dog wasn't matted at all, then the only reason for a burn is letting the clipper blade get extremely hot.(no excuse for that!) It isn't from cutting too close. If it is from a hot blade, then you would have noticed it as soon as you picked up, or very soon after ward. If they burned your dog, they should at the very least, pay for any treatment he needs. If they balk at this,,,,,I doubt they would like it if you were standing in their parking lot every day for a week, showing people your injured dog. ;-)

For tonight just like any burn a cold compress may help, keep it clean and you can use neosprin or a triple antibiotic.
I would speak to the groomer and possible sue. This is going to make it hardeer for any groomer to handle him/her due to this experience. I know some dogs that need to be anesthetize ( spelling?) because the dogs freaks out so bad.
A razor burn should not happen and the problem with these pet smart and such places with groomers.
I went to school to learn how to groom and handle dogs. I have a degree form the scholl so I am a professional groomer

Oh thats so awful - I hope you will be taking this further with the groomer. Poor dog, and poor you! I'm so glad you're getting help for him tomorrow.
You can buy soothing creams from a pet shop if you have one nearby, or you could try aloe if you can get hold of it. Another option would be to put ice packs wrapped in a towel on the area to take the inflammation down.
I'm so sorry this happened to you, you sound like a wonderful dog owner who does everything right and the groomer obviously stuffed up badly.
Edited to add: EEK! Hydrogen peroxide BURNS - put it on your own skin and feel how warm it gets. Please do not put it on your dog!!

You can gently clean the area with hydrogen peroxide on a cotton ball and apply a little Neosporin to the area.
I would definately request your money back from Petsmart. Razor burn should not have occurred if they were being gentle and safe.

Just try and keep him calm, let him sleep with you if he can get on the beds. And if it bothers him you could try and put some neosporin (sp?) on his razor burns. Just keep him as comfortable as you can. He should be ok for tonight.

You can try cool compress and then Neosporin with Pain relief in it. Make sure it stays clean or it could get infected.
