#1:golden/orange, long and slender, not short and squat
#2:rust, green/blue, long and slender
#3:electric blue, long and slender
#4:bright yellow with 2 stripes running horizontally down its sides

-they are all about 3 to 4 inches
-what would be the best thing to feed them

-could i mate them
-how?


the only info i have on them is that in the store the tank was labeled "african cichlids" they were multi colored and attractive

You will get better ID's if you can find a website that has Rift Lake cichlid photos. The #1 fish sounds like Neolamprologus leleupi,but that's only a guess. That might provide you with a starting point.

Just blindly guessing..

1. Red Zebra (Metriaclima estherae)
2. Redtop Zebra (Metriaclima pyrsonotos)
3. Electric Blue (Sciaenochromis fryeri)
4. Auratus (Melanochromis auratus)

you'll need males and females to mate them. to do that, find out exactly what species you have via everyone's contributions of sources. you will not likely be able to breed all 4 species in one aquarium with much result.
