i have a 55 gallon tank. I have blue gravel in there and i hate it. I hear crushed coral helps keep the pH a little higher. How would i get the blue gravel out to put the other one in?

how can i tell if my chihuahua is pregnant.. her nipples are getting bigger than before and im worried, she started her period already she is about 11 mnths old... something like that and her brother was here sometime ago,, and i think he was humping her/.... is that possible?

My 7.5 week old puppy, has what feels like fluid in her umbilical stump. Her whole "stump" is totally healed on the outside, but it protrudes out a little bit, and then there is the fluid or whatever is in there that bugs me. it just looks like an "outie" a little bump, where her cord used to be. I accidently pushed on it, and it went back inside her belly, which really freaked me out. Should I alert the vet about this, or is this not a big deal?

Does he look like a mule because i asked a question not so long ago and a answerer said he looked more like a mule? he really shouldn't because hes a purbred haflinger. i'm just curious really, tell me what you think?

Btw i've got nothing against mules and how they look, but i'd prefer it if people did actually think and know that he is a horse.

Stupid question i know, but i'm just curious, so if theres nothing nice to say then don't say it, because thats how questions like these are started :)

I have a new Chilean Rose tarantula spiderling, apx 1'' in leg span. It came with some good info from the breeder, but nothing about a feeding schedule. It seems as though it would accept prey every day if I would let it. I've been feeding it a small cricket every 3rd day. i.e. 2 days without eating, then a cricket on the third day. But it still seems hungry. I've noticed that the abdomen has become larger and rounder than when I got received it from the breeder, but it looked malnourished at that time. So, what is a good feeding schedule? Any breeders out there? Am I feeding too much? Too little? I've heard that you "cannot overfeed a spider" but I'm pretty sure thats not true, especially because it can be bad for their health to feed too much, and can make falls more dangerous. Anyway, I'm looking for responses from someone whom actually has raised spiderlings, not just people doing a google search, I already did that. I would like some first-hand information here. Thanks in advance

Puppy Question: We determined our puppy has tapeworm because he sheds rice like stuff in his bed, we just bought him and we're shown his was de-wormed a few weeks ago, would he still be shedding this stuff if the treatment worked? Thank you.

i cannot believe it december and i found a flea on my dog this evening which means there are some more about .will not be able to get frontline combi until monday will have to get some flea bombs and spray for the whole house. bath the dogs .do you think they will go does frontline still work.

My jack russel likes to chase just about any small animal there is outside and once even tried to get a pet bird that we have flying in the house. My girlfriend and daughter really want a kitten and i want to suprise them on their B-Day with a kitten. How could i get my dog to adjust to the kitten. My jack russell is very very good with small children so im sure i could get him to adjust to the kitten once it was in the house. I keep him locked up in a crate during the night (so he doesnt pee all over the house) and i lock him in there when he gets in trouble. So i was thinking trying to just keep them seperate until the kitten is sort of older and the more the cat is around he should get used to it right?? Please help if you can, im running out of time.

I'm new to the site and THANK YOU for having this. I own a Pitt Bull whom I've had since he was 6 weeks now he's a little over 1 1/2 years. I'm uncertain if I shall get him neutered. Can anyone share their experience and give me their pro/cons of nuetering? My dog is Pure Breed and I've also thought about mating him. I love my dog, i just want to do what's best for him.
